My beloved e38 really served me good:} kena lanyak driving North South East West, and along the way scratch here and there, crash a monkey :) , hit a pipe on a road etc. So since then only maintained the engine, mechanical part only, other maintenance aspect except exterior.

So now embarking to restore my car especially exterior and cockpit. Areas that i need assistance are:
a. Where/how to replace to angle eye headlight
b. Front bumper koyak, need to replace or modify?
c. To restore original painting
d. Steering wheel cover need replacement. The leather worn out
e. Will restore leather seat cover at Kayu Ara

Looking forward to all sifu input

TQ

hmmm this is fun..

which light do you have?? scallop or straight? best option for angle eyes are actually add on LED smd ring. super bright. i bot mine on mudah for 240. and another 80 for installation at bomin.

Front Bumper.. go to theva in Glenmarie.. many options .. just repair. as second hand ones are really expensive. we are talking about 4.5K front and back and still need to touch up

For good paint job you will spend no less than 4K

item d and e is done by leather seat guy,.i guess another 5K for total restoration.

Alan....lama tak nampak posting...still driving the mighty 7 arr?

Thank you for the feedback Sifu :)

I did my front bumper before but not happy with the workmanship. That was after minor accident last time and a rush job. So will definitely visit theva for a satisfaction workmanship hopefully :)

For the leather seat i did mine at Kayu Ara and aiyaa.... should ask them to do the steering also.

Actually. A Taiwan made front bumper only costs about ~RM800-900. Avaliable locally. I got mine installed at/ from PowerBooster in Kuchai.

Who is your leather restorer in Kaya Ara anyway ? Re - Dye ?

There is a shop in Sunway which re-dyes all your seats to as new for ~ RM 400-500.

We can meet up bro. I have plenty parts for e38...hehe

Oic, will visit powerbooster soon, but they do bumper also?

As for the leather restorer I did it at Brilliant Car Interior, Kg Sg Kayu Ara (enter at a junction before the Shell/BHT and about 500m down the road) . It located in a shoplot on the right. It cost me RM350 :), the steering is RM300.

I am quite happy with the result
