In retrospect, all nominees who failed to present their cars during the prelimenary judging and those who are unable to attend the dinner are be atuomatically disqualified. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the judges for their time and effort in contributing to the prelimenary judging session. Please be on time as it would be inconsiderate to keep our VIP judges waiting. Failure to present your car at the specified date and time will result in automatic disqualification. Failure to attend the Annual Dinner will also result in automatic disqualification.

Calvin's ride has been disqualified on the basis that he will not be attending the dinner. This awards are held in conjuction witht he Annual Dinner and part of the requirements for participation is attendance at the dinner.

Yes, I do agree that it looks like a competition for old school bimmers, but the reality of the situation is that this competition was open to the members but these are the only cars that were nominated and met the guidelines.

As it has been said.....the club belongs to the members, make it or break it, it's all in your hands.

attend or not, he is still a member of the club and had made the effort to be at the judging venue and it would be in the good nature and spirit of the club to acknowledge all its members.
yes he may not be attending the dinner - perhaps due to personal commitments - but he did made the effort to be at the judging event. that in itself demonstrates a member's commitment and initiative in making the event a success.

Your opinion is noted and appreciated. Rules are made for very specific reasons.

We of course appreciate and acknowledge Calvin Tan's efforts in participating and putting on a good show. He has an awesome ride and that is undisputed. Bimmer73's ride also suffered the same fate.

All rules and regulations regarding this event has been made available to the public for over a month. No point crying over spilt milk now. If the nomination process was taken in a more serious light by all, this unfortunate circumstance would have been avoided.
