Hiya guys,

Just joined, and wanted to share some thoughts and words with U guys.

My E28 is a MK2, 1985 model, 520i that came with a manual tranny. Over the years, bits and pieces of the car have been replaced, with major refurbishments in the engine bay.

First up, IMHO, my dad replaced the engine with a 525i Motronic engine in 1990, and it may well be the first E28 to have had such a transplant.

Next, about a couple years later, the E39 standard 16' rims went in, followed by an auto tranny (why oh why!!!! just because I lost the 5th gear somewhere in the cogbox doesn't mean in has to be changed into an auto!!!)

At this present moment, I have been daunted with numerous problems with the engine...it may well be the time to upgrade to Vanos power. If anyone has done so in an E28, I'd like to find out the know-how to doing such an upgrade!

Looking forward to some feedback....by the way, looking to convert an abandoned E28 into a Drift Beast...hehehe
