Recomended Front Tires Size

Hi Sifus,What are the recommended tires size for front E39? My gal friend recently replace two pieces for the front tires after the tires was damage on the side walll. The previous was 235/40/18 now is been replace by 235/45/18 nankang tires. Have a feeling its not right. Kindly anyone please advice.Thanks

245/40/18 is the best, 235/45/18 just look odd but acceptable if the tyre is not rub your fender.

stick to 235 / 40 /18....

235/45/18 also can but heavy. 245/45/18 even worst.

the best thing is to determine your original factory fitted tyre size, and then use online tyre calculator to correct it. (i believe your 18' is not factory fitted size). so make sure u stay within the 3% tyre upgrading rules. u should be able to determine the original factory size from the spare tyre in your trunk
