Dear Sifus,I need advise.What is the best and most comfortable tire size for my 18' sport rims to fit my E60?Front - 8.5J * 18 H2PCD 5 * 120A ET 13Rear - 9.5J * 18 H2PCD 5 * 120A ET 19Ive asked around and most of them said F- 245/40/18 and R-275/35/18. What do you all sifus think? Any better size?Regards,

I need advise again....

Ive called up Hock Li Tyre in Klang, the guy told me that i could use all round tyre 245/40/18 for my staggered rims.

What do you guys think?

Which one would be the best setup for my staggered rims?

please advise

Regards,

i dont think using 245/40/18 all around is such a good idea.. as the rear rims are meant for a completely larger tyre width.. and that's a full 20mm difference from the width of the front tyre.

they said 245/40/18 can fit rim width from 8.0 - 9.5

any comment?

The tyre shop guys are not engineers. Follow the specs as per stated in your owner's manual or the sizes on the side of of the driver's door. It can cause tyre failure as you are stretching the tyre to fit the wheel.

It is extremely dangerous to use unersized tyres as it alters the suspension geometry

The width of your rims are different, and as such the tires should be different as well. Yes it may fit, but will it fit well.

Just like T shirt, one size fits all. To a skinny chap the shirt is loose, to the oversized guy, the shirt is tight. So is it still one size fits all?

Cheers

Mr Presidente has speak....so the others...

Well, in this case i will go for staggered setup tyres.

yeah it does make sense - afraid that it might stretch too much if i use 245/40/18 for the rear.

thanks a bunch u guys!
