Car #1 not going fast all the time lah... Only speed a bit when road opens up then backed off, to just stretch legs a little.... The car slow lah 1.8 only...

Thanks for the thrilling experience!!!! I was told that we were going to follow speed limit.......yeah right!!!!! With a thundering hangover and 2 hours of sleep before the drive......nuff said

Thanks Harbhajan, what a great host. The trip was educational in more ways than one and I really enjoyed the scenes in Kg Koman!!!

I learned a thing or two about convoys and driving skills. For sure, the E38 is never coming out on such roads again, what a crappy car to drive especially on the ride back from Raub via the trunk roads and hills to Janda Baik. I dont know how DigitalPunk and Szehoong managed the ride!!!! Think I almost killed my gearbox too :stupid: hahahahahaha. Poor E38, needs some tender loving care now. Next ride, the 34 will make the appearance....far more tolerable to push her to the limits. And my wife thinks I drive fast.....surely will drag her along for the next ride to experience real BMW drivers :top:

Thanks guys for an awesome outing and off course, the gentle coaxing to sign up as OM

Till the next ride, stay safe and god bless always

After visited both the kacang and tofu factories, the one important question was raised. "How many want to use the old road back?!" Few raised hands ~ shy*. "How many want to use the highway?" All booed and demanded to use the old road, some even been spotted with a big grin on their face with sign of relief when announcement of old road will be used!

The drove back was exciting ever! Aren't we glad to leave together! healthy mix of all few generations for the different series..

The lanes are getting narrower, shadier, cooler, tighter bends, slipperier, side rock walls are closing in, ravines on another side are getting deeper. Entire stretch of the touge roads, no more than 10 units of on coming vehicle.. just 20 odds German precision machinery zooming by, with echoes of screeching tyres..

I left for the trip with a little below half tank, was taking it easy but was difficult to juggle between full use of 6th speed economy versus DS mode to take the touge bends.. herbert was leading my pack on the way back, followed by DigitalPunk's 7-series, he cucuk herbert kao kao, I was 3rd and behind me, was a 320 HP monster that's all over me and behind him is an even greater monster, a 3L E34.. and there I'm, caught in the middle, trying to conserve fuel.. duh!*

Was a relief when the Genting junction R&R came in sight with a stretch of BMW parked at the road side greeting us... asking us why so slow.. :p The rest of the trip was just gliding down into Karak toll. Manage to reach home with about 15km left in the tank.. :p Refill my tank in a kiosk at my neighborhood, refilling nozzle first trigger at 58L in my 63L tank.. :p

The rest, I see them drive up the Genting hills.. don't wish to know where they went next.. :p

Thank you to Harbhajan....

It was a good run, though i didn't manage to go beyond 60km/h....

last car ma.... slower than the slowest car.....

Had a great time! Especially on the way back :D
Thanks to all who made it happen, especially our gracious host in Raub.

Also signed up to be an OM on the day ;)

If the Bentong-Genting Sempah route turns u on, we should one fine morning go for Kuala Klawang drive from Hulu Langat. Longer route and a little bit lesser windy but definitely wider road.... Ulu yam is still a little bit short...

On the way back from Penang to KL 3 weeks ago, DigitalPunk's engine developed starting problem and lost of power. Came back to KL, mechanic replaced 2 x cam shalf sensors plus erased all error codes and did some re-programming. Perhaps that explain the extra power from DigitalPunk's car. Yes, from Bentong to Genting junction DigitalPunk cucuk cucuk me and I had no choice but to go on manual mode 2 & 3 to get away from him. What a fun and exciting drive....let do it again soon!!!
