Allow me to share that I am another proud owner of MW 525i msport '05 -N52. ..collected the end of Sept '13.

Cifu's... i was told by my mechanic about the engine management software are still running on original spec,he advise me to upgrade to newer software,this will allow the bios communication improve and its very important for hot country like Malaysia. Please advice

Its a Japan spec and there are few things that i would like to upgrade the car entertainment system.,

FM booster- current FM upto 90.0
DVD in motion- but curios about the display,as the current output display is not sharp/vga right cifu's..
Reverse camera or PDC...
built in GPS- if not too prize..

One very simple step to solve all this , upgrade to new CIC , sure sharp and got FM radio ha ! No regret mod forever bro

what the dafaq!? never heard of that before! you should ask him how can upgrading the software improve the communication? sounds like BS to me.

if you want to play DVD's and use GPS you will have to upgrade your idrive to CIC (only 2009 and above e60 comes with CIC). Bimmercoder can do it, but price is not cheap. I am actually toying with the idea of upgrading also, not for the gps or dvd, but bcos the newer GUI is awesome! makes the older one look like crap
