hi guys, i recently converted a NV m50 into my 4 door E30. Now im facing few problems, hope you guys can help me.Things that i installed in the car-E36 steering rack with E36 tie rods-modified M52 extractor-M3 offset bushings-z4 2.5 short shifterproblem 1im having problems with turning left at decent speed due to the steering linkage grazing upon the m52 extractor. I have modified the m52 extractor as close as possible to the engine and away from the steering linkage. WHen i turn left, the car tend to feel dangerous but when i turn right, its fine.During highway, the steering will wobble and i have to grip my steering very firmly and it feels uncomfortable. I've did the alignment before and found no problem whatsoever.I read in the internet regarding the e36 steering swap, i found that they did spacer in between the steering linkage due to the E36 rack sits lower than e30 rack. When i got down and look at my car, it didnt have any spacer or washers whatsoever, my question is, does this cause the wobbling of the steering when im doing highspeed? Now, regarding the linkage grazing the extractor, i saw quite a few did this to their linkage. (this is not my car).
Do you guys recommend this ? Im really out of ideas.problem 2Im using back my getrag 260 gearbox and the gearbox is rotated 10 degrees more or less to the right. i think my mech didnt understand what i was saying when i asked him to twist my selector rod 10 degrees to the right. Instead he whack my selector rod by bending it and im having a hard time shifting to 5th. The shifter is not sitting straight. ANyone who has this sort of experience care to share where can i do this properly? i hope you guys can show me the right direction as im quite lost now. Thank youChris
