My 320i UDM is barely 2 years old. This morning after I moved my car out of the porch, I noticed some oil on the floor - not a lot may be about 5 to 10 ml ? The color is very dark brown/black. So it can't the transmission oil. It looks like engine oil. Is the a common occurrence, after just 2 years? I just sent it in for the 40,000 km service 1 month ago. No problem reported then. Appreciate some feedback/advice. Thanks!

I had a similar issue before but it wasn't from the engine oil. Found out it was due to the diesel line having a small leak so it leaked diesel onto my porch area.

your symptom is exactly like me.
I did rectify the problem though..my valve cover seal needs to be replace. Engine oil drips thru the worn seal..
its not a big problem, it wont make your engine oil getting less. prob is your porch gets dirty with the oil and have to clean it everyday. haish..
its a 3-4 hours job. E34 525i M50TU.
whatever it is..just like moots said..have to check it first and bring on the ramp to inspect from the undercarriage.

My friend has a E90 320i, year 2008 .. his problems is the car engine oil less unknown reasons .. try to identify whether it happens because there is an oil leak but do not see ... was sent to the workshop but they say it are normal / weaknesses in this model .. do not know what to do there a way and had to sell it .. do the owners here have experienced and know what caused it?? hope to share the experience .. tq
OK, they replaced the value seals, gaskets in 5 places. No problem after that.
But they didn't top up my engine oil for me, which is now 1 notch below full.
All done free of charge under BSRI.
I asked the service center what engine oil they use - Petronas Syntium 3000 was the reply.

OK, they replaced the value seals, gaskets in 5 places. No problem after that.
