Oil change outside BSRI scope

Because my average annual mileage is low, the pre-set BSRI 12k km is gonna likely see me servicing under it only once a year. Due to our HOT Malaysian climate and taxing traffic in KL, I have almost always sent my rides in for an oil & filter change in between the recommended service intervals.

Question is, "How much will the charge be for an oil and filter change?"

Btw, I will be getting my F30 316i soon.

I took delivery of my car in Feb 2013 and OBC indicator for service is 27,000km.
I got my first service done at AB Glenmarie at 10,000km, and the bill for oil change/filter was RM598.20
Prior to that i tried to argue on the super long service interval offered under BSRI and the Service Desk replied that it all depends on which batch the car was sold.
F30s after the price increase has a shorter duration of 12,000km.
My SA confirmed this as LPPL (in hokkien)

Depends on your engine capacity, for a two litre engine, the cost for engine oil and oil filter plus labour comes to about RM500+

Emmm...let me take out the bill and see....ah, sorry to say for wrong figure... the total is Rm 705 (fell better a bit now)
labour charge RM 54, Oil filter RM 61 and BMW longlife motor oil 5 liter RM 590.

After reading all the comments on this thread it looks like the BSRI is a marketing gimmick for BMW to sell more cars because I remember some of the sales rep said that BSRI is warranty so by default you get 3 years warranty - what a douchebag! I can only see people who do a lot of running around will only benefit from this.

correct. that's why the service intervals are getting ridiculously far apart; less frequent, less cost & more profit to them.

BMW Malaysia took us for granted.

They might won a 328i from me but just lost a 528i to E400.

BMW Malaysia set new records sales in 2013.

I dont see they will offer longer warranty. They are very proud of their BSRi which is bullshit.

My friend told me now that they started offering 2+1 warranty. Anyone can verify that?

My SA replied "ya 3 years warranty and service, always one ma, free service for 3 years"

Actually many people thought 3 years MSRi is 3 years warranty.

Question: If we extend BSRI for a further 2 years after the original 3 year period ends, and say during the 4th year the fuel pump or gearbox goes dead, will they replace a new one if its irreparable?

Dont confused BSRI with warranty coverage. Warranty is 2 yrs only....

Read the fine print on both...

There was endless discussion on this already.
