A bit disappointed it doesn't work with the boot CDC. I think I'll put my purchase on hold. There's no use dragging an unusable object in the boot.

A bit disappointed it doesn't work with the boot CDC. I think I'll put my purchase on hold. There's no use dragging an unusable object in the boot.

It depends lah. If you are planning to use Ipod, then this is not an issue.

However, if you plan to use the CDC, then it might be a issue. I read on the bimmer forum that
there are some issue but that there are also people who have connect them and are happy.

Anyway, to have the best of both world, the DVD player offer Virtual CDC as a alternative to
the original CDC. Not sure what is Virtual CDC but apparently it seem that you can load 6 CD and
stored it in the memory. After loading, you can use it like a normal CD.

I have not even power up the unit so I am not so sure of the Virtual CDC.

I do sound like the product saleman.. LOL.. :burnout:

Just got the reverse camera to work. that was no wiring diagram for the reverse camera but I manage to figure the circuit. It quite simple once you know it. will post the wiring later once I draw the circuit.

The reverse camera is quite good. It automatically cut-in when the reverse gear is engaged and goes off when you dis-engaged the reverse gear.

Managed to get the IPOD to work as well with my son's ipod. Just plug in the ipoh and the menu auto load.
Have not try with the CD changer yet..

Cannot find the virtual CD menu.

btw, try the usb and it cannot read my 16gb thumbdrive. I think there is a limitation to the size of the drive. will try with my small GB thumbdrive later which are in my office.

GPS on the iGO is OK but need to set the path before it can operated properly.

Now looking for papago for winCe to try out.

Seller told me that i nid to wired the parking to the ground cable which the black color cable. This is to make sure the DVD will continue to play while the car moving. How much u got your reverse camera? Can pm me ?

Btw, i found 800x480 fullscreen papago x5 dy with the latest map. Tested it for awhile, love the map details and the 3d building. Search function is simple and fast as well. Havent try it on the road yet, look very impressive now. Hard to tell which is better, iGO or Papago. Anyway, it's good to have both.
Installed into my Galaxy as well, next.. the iphone. hehehe
