The unit runs on WINCE 5.0, can runs on few GPS software, Igo, papago, route66 and sygic. Plenty of cracked software and latest map on the net. No worries..
iGo is much more better coz user can do alot customization to the interface and graphic.

Anyway, both hualingan and dynavin are similar in alot of expect.

I saw the unit install in another E39. It was impressive. It work with the MF Steering.

IPOD compatible but have to sacrifice the CD Changer. However, there are some issue with CDC as not all are usable. Have not try it myself so I reserve the comment on this for the time being.

Two video inputs:- 1 for Reverse Camera and the other for TV.

GPS function is IGO but there are other format that can be install as it is WinCE.

Like the add-on interface module CAN Bus.. (Adil, if you are reading this, this might interest you)

Quality finishing on the unit.

The Unit have more potential for custom made skin.. :rock:

Good feedback on the features. One of our OM purchased a set directly from China (think unit from
Hualingan) and installed in his e38. Sound output quality is bad plus features such as bluetooth/handsfree with phone did not work too well.

The Navi function is great for me.

Remember to put a layer of protector on the screen, full of tiny scratches on my protective layer now.

Yours can work with the protector? Mine cant, the touch screen goes haywire.. mayb the screen is anti scratch like most of the modern touch screen phone ie, galaxy S and iphone.

yup, it's the latest v5. older version the volume knob different one.

The current layer on the screen just the protective plastic, not yet try on screen protector, anyway plan to put one soon. I dont think the screen is anti scratches, it is something like hp iPAQ.

1st at all, both brand never produce any headunit for e38.

I am satisfy with the sound quality, bluetooth is working, only thing is the mic is not really clear as the distance from driver side.

Yes, iGO is great! Not need to bother with others.

Ic, try it n see whether working or not. Mine comes with a screen protector, so i took all my effort and trouble to put it nicely on to the screen. PERFECT... but then.. touch screen goes haywire.. grrr.. ran over to accessories shop and ask them, they say usually they dont put on any touch screen HU coz it wont work.
Damn hard to take it out then...:motz:

I have use papago and garmin (205W). Honestly, I like papago better. :rock:

The papago instruction are better and I like the split view when it comes to a junction. The picture of the junction with arrow sign really help if you not familiar with the road.

I try garmin and papago at the same time last saturday and found that papago is more accurate but then again my garmin is older as compare to papago. btw, the papago is the cheap china made type which i got free when I bought a phone..

With picture n direction, just like my Ndrive in my Galaxy S. actually i like tat feature as well, you definitely wont miss a turn or wrong turn. But our HU is too low and i find it it's difficult and dangerous to look at the screen too often. unless we using a standalone unit that hang on the windscreen. I will try out papago and do a comparison. I personally like Igo searching feature, dont know how to explain but it's simple.

Nice ^_^ same with dynavin. but dynavin comes with a extended mic. they claim it's for more clarity while on the phone. I never install it. too bad i did not take any photo of the bare unit. too excited to install it immediately. hehe.. my fren got a fresh unit, will ask him to take some photo for comparison. Anyway, they look similar.

Pls share your experience with the ipod/iphone interface. thanks.
