This is what they claim can do, the usb modem sold separately. But looking at afew of your pic, it seem that hualingan interface better then dynavin v5.

The USB modem can be bought from any ebay. However, most will not work unless you BUY a patch file for about USD20 in order to recognize the modem. There is guy who develop the driver for the USB modem.

Dynavin have been around much longer than Hooligan. I think in US & UK, there are a big following. There are alot of hack and free skin available.

Search for "wolfNCU skin" and you be surprise on the number of interface that are available for download. :rock:

btw, the dvd player are seperate in two board. One board for DVD player based on a certain chipset. The other is the GPS board which works with wince platform.

In fact, the GPS button is actually to activate wince program beside the Navigation program.

So you can activate another program and have different interface. :rock:

bro, I need to copy the iGo navigation from your unit to my hard disk. I think I screw my GPS program after I change the chinese directory to english name..

Forgot to back up when I am playing with the Wince program. Trying many hacks and end up in many brick wall but getting there soon. :rock:

I read about that too, but it is very dangerous and require the firmware to make the changes and reflash into the unit. If fail, the whole unite goyak.
WinCe5 part is much more easier to play around.

just managed to get my GPS back online. It was due to the GPS setting. The correct setting should be COM 2 and baud rate 57600.

Ok, one down many more to go.. hee.. hee.. iGo not to bad after all.. As good as papago..

The COM port fix in 2 with baud rate 57600? I found out mine is changing from time to time.

you need to modify the sys.txt file at the iGo root directory using a text editor. this will correct the GPS com port and the baud rate as shown below.
btw, copy the original file "sys.txt" to the backup directory first before you do the editing. This will allow you to revert back in case you make a mistake during the editing.

eer... No lah. Map which are compressed in .exe format are for Papago.

iGo format are in .FBL The picture I show you are for R3 which I think is just nice for our HLG DD-HU.

Just copy the basemap.fbl and other .fbl map like singapore and malaysia to the directory. Other maps can be left out to save the space on the micro-SD.

I will post the link later if the map works. It was upload to megaupload share file site.
