My RFT experience

Hello guys. Just overcomes my excitement with my new rides. Last Monday took my family balik kampung. Half way through the journey my rt Rear RFT sudden gave away with a loud pop..and the TPM gave me the warning. Too bad no spare wheel. Manage to drive to Raub. Spent the night and wait for tyre shop to open..Not many stock the tyre size. Lucky the good year tyre shop has one and me continue my journey safely.Got back to kl next day to change my tyre.Got a real shock. Actually all my RFT have got inner wall cracked just waiting for time to give up and explode.got all change this time to normal tires. Got spare installed as wellLesson learned1. Please check your tire pressure when planning long distance and extra load cause it will strain the tires and worst with RFT2. Even though you are with RFT still need a spare coz you never know3. As a rule of thumb if one tyre gave up the others will follow real soon( mine 3410)4. Newest tyre is still a better deal no matter what the warranty says5.make sure your tyres are manually tightened otherwise you can never untied the screwsSorry for the lists but next time I will prepare myself betterAfter all I really love my new commuteSelamat Hari Raya AidilfitriMaas Zahir dan Batin

That is why rft not in my list...
Better use normal tyres...

aku ada stereng lori dan bas......kau ada....

I think get a brand new good quality tyres together with a tyre mobility kit is good enough... Spare tyre if got is better, but u wouldn't wanna change tyre on the roadside right?
RFT costs so much yet they are not really bullet proof...

Mobility kit still cost like 600 bucks or more? Why not just Slime tyre repair kit which are sold at hypermarkets for like 70 bucks?

I bought the medium range one la...usually cheap stuff cannot be trusted hehe...
I bought Tyre Auto guard around rm380 perset...

Thanks guys. At first I really thought that RFT will be an advantage but then soon I realised by having the mobility kit and normal tyres will do the same. maybe you would not worry about changing your tyre in the middle of nowhere at night..IMHO

Shadden from exotic mods...comes with 2 units of fluid and one electric pump machine....can function as long as connected to the car's battery....
Fluid can be refilled by purchasing a new unit...per tyre puncture for one bottle of fluid....cost of a single tuber of fluid i think not that expensive....
As a whole, way way cheaper than a set 4 RFT tyres...lol
