Decided to do some DIY yesterday 1/1/2013,
Microfilter change.



The old one is so dirty, no wonder have some odour in the cabin

Then Later in the afternoon, met with keymaster tweiboon. Helped me do a spare key.

Have to open this compartment to get to the EWS...(i think its the EWS)



Where the magic is happening. The things that you can do with a laptop, wires and ingenuity...

6/1/2013 -DIY day,

Changed the front signal lights. The driver's side signal light was cracked and has water inside...maybe can use as a mini aquarium.



New unit.



Installed.



some mod by previous owner, flashing lights for convoys. Sadly only wiring left, the module taken out by prev. owner.



Changed carpet...some say can add another 5hp...hahaha




Installed plate no holder...BMWCM ones of course.

The week before, i changed the rear ashtray comparment. The old one is missing the sliding cover. as usual DIY.



unscrew out the two screws.



New unit goes in.

Just wanted to ask you:
1) The gear oil change was it 7 litres?
2) Noob question the microfilter Im guessing is plonked into the casing you showed in the first pic? The odour is it from aircond?

1. 6 liters were used.
2. Yup, just plonk and play , open the three retainers by twisting 1/2 turn . The odour was coming from the a/c , the odour reduced significantly after change, but i still do get whiffs of the old odour.

Yup, Fuad really took care of the car. I hope i can do justice to his earlier efforts.
