I'm not fully 'back' yet bro - still have lots of family visiting to settle - will be away to Australia to visit more family over 2 weeks of CNY. Will catch up with all the bros after all this is finally over, and hopefully, I'll have updates on my F13 which seems to take forever to arrive!

I went to Bandar Baru this morning to buy breakfast. how do u know is me?

I assumed only unless there are other 118 owners?
As I was looking for decent parking space, your car size stuck out like a sore thumb among the many smaller cars. It is not so common to spot E65/66.

I crossed over to get pau after my atm transaction.

I was buying Bentong Chicken rice at that restaurant.

I noticed minor scratch on my car bonnet after that morning, is it u? ( just joking, ha ha)

Recently has the chance to drive my biz partners' S350L and another CLS350 CGI. the comparison of power as follows

S350L 3.5 litre 272hp, 350nm torque
CLS350 CGI 3.5 litre 306hp, 370nm torque
My E66 730Li 3.0 litre 258hp, 300nm torque

I still found that my E66 handles better and pick up faster ( which is strange looking at the cc as well as the torque figure, probably i am biased, he he). and both of them also felt the same when they test drove my car.

Haha goes to show, nothing gives more driver's satisfaction than a Bimmer.

I still am more gung-ho in attacking corners in my E32 compared to the other cars in my family with more powerful engine capacity like the 3.6L Jag or 3.2 S Class.

eggie.. wanna go for a ride in my V12?? kekekek maybe u should give gizmos a call... his alpina is waiting for you... no need wanna be anymore.. just do it!

I seen your car recently, so shiny as if it had new coat of paint.

Anyway i was in for the cha kuay teow. Have you had it before? Was heavily greasy and like kuay teow soaked in castor oil. is it like this usually? :burnout:

I too drove cls350. The cls did not have very low profile grippy tyres like the beemer. For me beemer become noisy if tyres changed to wider and ride been lowered. So it was hard to tell.

But power wise, I felt 3.5 Benz pulling power is no contest. The Benz i tried was in top cond. When i got back to my car, just for fun I tried to overtake my friend's cls but it pulled away from me after a short while.:52:

Hi guys, newbie question. Is there a e65 730iL or 730i ? If so, whats the difference compare to e66 730i? Thanks for your kind info. Trying to do some research...

730 E65 = 730i short wheel base
730 E66 = 730Li long wheel base

I sent for waxing and polishing every 3 mths...

I never tried that Char Kuay Teow stall, but with your description of the oilly staff i think i wouldnt try at all. But the chicken rice is nice, i went there only for the Bentong chicken rice.

Haha, hi there bro EL118 :) So that's how you keep your E66 looking like it's fresh out of the showroom. I've also started on a grooming package - inspired by bro Eggie86 actually, hahah, and to my surprise, it really makes a huge difference! The cars look so different & so shiny :)

When we drive our cars at normal range without any challenge , we dont really get to discover its maximum potential.. ( be it positive or negative ) we discover it most when we rempit with other cars... especially with other make. I experienced that lately while JB-KL trip which a CLS 350 furiously cucuk me and flashed light non stop before i could manage to change to slow lane. Finally he learnt his lesson on how to respect other road users . BMW do soars when its pissed regardless what type it is.

P/s : i m not encouraging for rempit ok.

I haven't seen your car in a while. Have you change your car or you found a better place for Bentong chicken rice? :driver:

Hello all, a very good morning to you. Been exploring the 7 series section for sometime reading and finally kena racunned. Was eyeing the 730LI E66 2006 facelifted model for a while and a month ago decided to check out a few units seen on mudah.my. Those were all below 200K range and turns out really not what I expected. And there are not many around. So forget it la. Then 3 weeks ago, just passing by AB on the way home around almost 8pm, slowed down, took a quick glance over my shoulder at the premium selection section and braked.....Eh...thot I saw one staring at me in the showroom. Reversed, went in, ngam ngam got one there and somemore someone working late. After that dunno what happened la..things happened fast...Just got it last week. I think same color as EL118's, kinda of very dark blue/black. It's manufactured late 2006, previous owner bought it June 2007. 83K mileage on the clock, everything stock original and still looks acceptably new. So far very happy with it except the CD changer cannot eject, so they are ordering a new unit to be replaced since got 1 year warranty. Tires Bridgestone still got at least 80% I think. Really smooth feel and good sound proofing compared to my previous ride. Anything that I need to look out for, please sifus, share with me. Right now, getting used to the size while parking...not easy..
