GLAD YOU ARE OK BUT DRIVING AT 180 KPH IS IRRESPONSIBLE SIR. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSE SOMEBODY'S LIVES WHO ARE INNOCENT OUT THERE.

I HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH THE SAID BRAND. I THINK YOU CAN'T MAKE ANY LEGAL CLAIM BECAUSE YOU BROKE THE LAW IN THE FIRST PLACE. IN FACT YOU COULD BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE WITH THE LAW ENFORCEMENT SHOULD OTHER PARTIES DECIDE TO GO AGAINST YOU LEGALLY.

is your tyres PROPERLY inflated in the first place? is the tyre properly mounted and your car properly aligned?

if your answer is YES, compile all the relevent documents and approach the manufacturer/brand owner in this case, its Continental Sime Tyre Marketing Sdn. Bhd for an answer, DO NOT GO BACK TO YOUR REGULAR TIRE SHOP which will just tell you its unclaimable and ask you to replace the tyre at your own cost BUt in the very end will make a claim for thier own profit.

make a claim directly, a reputable brand like continental will not back off from its consumers and will do what is best to retain one.

hello mr vr2turbo, breaking the legal speedlimit and making a claim on a defective product is a totally separate/different matter. anyway, what makes you think you can bring this claim to court in the first place when its value is not even worth its time in court.

And for someone who CLAIMED to "have" some experience with the said brand, you should know the said tyre is RATED at a much higher speed that what james has used it for, so IF all variables like tyre mounting, inflation rate, alighment is all within the manufacturer's recommended spec, the manufacturer/brand owner has the responsibility to answer its consumers.

James Chun and Leforte:

I have done some legal work (warranty claims) for non automotive matters without going to court. I wish James Chun well. But in a matter of law, it is common for the defendant to use all legal avenues to protect themselves. Circumventing the law or committing an illegal act to achieve an objective which may have statutory rights in itself will likely amount to an indefeasible case. In this situation, the dangerous act of speeding took place in a public area.

I was not referring to the competency of the tire at all.

A number of variables or a small lopsided sharp pothole could have affected it or any tire for that matter.
Alternatively, at such a speed, it is not possible to see small potholes or small granite stones falling off lorries or ricocheting off elsewhere.
The faster the car was driven, the greater the impact of any sharp flying stones will be, if any, which may have initiate a cut.

Most established companies will use the local law to ascertain where they stand. It has been known that some companies are more consumer friendly than some others. So then, no harm in trying. :)

Haha~~` Thanks For Your Guys Comment.

Brother Vr2Turbo, I Know It Is Illegal To Drive Above Speed Limit, But You Know La, Once You Step In This Ultimate Driving Machine, It's Hard For You To Drive Slow Slow La. If Drive Slow, You Will Feel the Car Is Rosak La~~~~Right?? Everyone Agree??

Well, I Sent Back The Tyre To Dealer & They Found Out Actually My Tyre Was Kena Super Small NAIL, Alamak!! This Can Cause Tyre Blew Up If Drive Too Fast!

I Didn't Notice It Since The Car Was Running Without Any Problems, No Major Shaking, No Steering Vibration , Alamak!!! Gila Punya Kerata!!

So The Result Is, I Have To Pay My Own For One Piece Brand New Tyre, So Heartache, Cause Only 3 Months Tyre La!!!

I Am Wondering Now Who Is Selling Tyre Pressure Sensor That Can Continuous Monitor Your Tyre Pressure...

BMW Is A Superb Car, Even One Tyre Gone, The Car Still Running Fine, That's The Problems, haha!

Normally I Only Drive Fast At HighWay & Early Morning That Not So Many Cars La~~~

I Dun Race With Other Cars Cause I Race With My Own, Haha!

Dun Worry Brother, If Got Many Cars At The Highway, I Will Follow Speed Limit Cause I Worry Suddenly Got "small" Car Blocking My Way La!!!haha!

JamesChun:

The E39 523 is quite an impatient car. When I press the pedal right down abruptly my old E39 went off like a mad dog. For me now when I looked back, I prefer the E60.

Now in the E60 530 , it feel more refined and blast off in a very polished manner.

you have found the cause of the problem, isn't it better to retract the statement not to buy CSC3 as this IMHO is an isolated case which you are lucky to be able to tell your story without a scratch? We don't want Conti/SD to come and send their legal team in here.
*My 2 kupang view only*

Ok, I Retract The Statement For Asking You All Not To Buy Continental Tyre.

Well, I SpentMoney To Buy one Piece Continental Tyre, Haha!

Anyway, I Will Continue Choose Continental tyre As My First Choice!
