Hi,this is a story i'd like to share with you guys.Date : 04 July 2011Time : 7.15 PMLocation : Sg Ular,between Cherating and Kuantan. I was on the way back from Kerteh towards Shah Alam, when my tire pressure indicator red light lit up.Stopped by at Caltex Sg.Ular, to have a look and pump some pressure,unfortunately the machine wasnt working.Checked the LH rear tyres,and found a big screw protruding the tyre.Decided to drive to Kuantan and hope for any tyre shop still open to get temporary repair.As i was driving,i could hear the sound of the screw everytime it hit the road.Unfortunately as i drive further the sound disappeared,meaning a hole was left open.Realizing its getting darker,and slim chance of getting to nearest shop which opens,i contacted Choq of Paka,who then communicated with dzuljazz2001 our VP at Kuantan and continued a slow drive to Kuantan.VP rescued me and asked a tyre shop to reopen in effort to rescue my punctured RFT.At first i thought its gonna be a patching job but boy i was wrong.See Picture.A hole u can peek inside! :20:With no other options, there was one Bridge RFT replacement but it will cost 2k so i asked for a nonRFT replacement.Luckily there was but unfortunately only one piece of Dunlop Sports Maxx TT. Proceed with it so now i have one stock RFT on RH side and the nonRFT on the LH side. At least i can continue my journey back so once im in KL,will search for matching tyre for my RH side. (somehow the RH rear tyre also showing some sign of very slow leak) Now i'm searching for a piece of Dunlop Sports Maxx TT 255/40/17.Any leads?I cant thank enough the helping effort from fellow members especially Choq,whom ive just met in Kerteh TT just couple of days before,and of course dzuljazz2001 the VP for helping me out in Kuantan.there were some others who joined later for a adhoc Kuantan miniTT (couldnt remember their nick though) at Ketupat restaurant nearby. What a way to be introduced to fellow member of BMWCM!Really appreciate and thankful of the help given although i am a merely one month old member.No doubt i will join as OM soon! :top
