Not many willing to spend that kind of money on and old car. Hats off to u...

Got to agree with that. Considering this is my only udm and already 22 years of age, makes me firm to get a brand new shaft.

Been spending lots of time in and out to solve the matter. Actually the problem arised since i first acquired the car (yr 2007) and it was tolerable until recently....cannot tahan! Hahah

The longshaft causes small vibration(can see passanger seat vibrates as the car being driven), loud humming noise coming from the rear seat bench and it feels slightly heavier during acceleration.

Considering it is already 22years old..time for a new one!

Hi lozo,
I hope you can enlighten me. Any rust issue with E34? I am looking to buy but "pening" when seeing rust on earlier models such as E30 and E28. I hope E34 rustproofing is much more superior than those earlier models.

fm...rust is not common for E34 unless she was involved in an accident...common place for rust is around air con blower which is impossible to see unless you dismantle the dash...

Try to get model manufacture after year 1989 as the body is galvanized. Even that will not 100% confirm as it depend on how the previous owner take care of the car..

Thanks guys for the fast reply. I am looking for a 520 24valve with manual trans.

Agree with anakin and initialM. I don't find that rust is an issue for the e34. It really depends on how was the car taken care of
