Bro, your full tank from "light up" is about RM100 therefore based on your average you only get around RM0.24c per km or 416km per fill.

its definately more than 24c leh...I don't usually fill when the light first shows up...will fill when it hits around 30-40k when the needle is almost at the last line. :)

filling it up when the light pops up I find it a little too early..although many have said this will damage the FP? hmm..how true is that i am not sure...

Really? How long term? 10.. 20 yrs?

I dont think so and i hope not. My 320d is already 3 yrs and abt 100k km. So far no issues at all and I get average of 800km for full tank mixed driving consistantly. Light comes out on 750km another about 80km to go. For full highway I can get 950 to 1000 easily! All these are on heavy footed driving . I also read a bro frm this forum already achieve 160k km without any issues

Ok. i guess i may be wrong about the diesel car. i read somewhere about over-haul had to be done after 200,000km. but it could be a one off.

Actually diesel engines are more robust than petrol because of the high compression they have and last longer. As for the averhaul, if one dont take care of the engine, sooner or later it will need to be overhaul, no matter petrol or diesel.

Actually to have an overhaul after 200,000km, on average I drive around 33,000km a year, somewhat close to 7 years is a good time for an overhaul.

mine is 323i>petrol consumption is amost the same.10.7liter/100km.meaning 21cents per km but not only petrol counts, others are much more give you racun.so take care of it.extra care

i have a f30 328 and i have NOT got 6+ litre per 100km... the best i have seen so far is abou 9+ litre per 100km...
Will need to check the journey computer ( it was set on resetting automatically and so the total mileage was reset for every trip(4 hrs spacing ) ) to record how much i actually get per tank....

Ok, with the help of the Journey Computer ( I reset manually with every fill-up ) , i can safely say that i can get 500++ km per full tank. But if i tekan kaw kaw, i get about 450++ km per full tank.

This is for a F30 328i.

just finished a tank of petronas 97.. managed to squeeze 549km with another 37km to go. mostly city crawl on comfort mode and whacking on duke and penchala on sport and DS. engine feels less tight now at 1800+ km.

Bro, the top speed you got at duke / penchala ?

after third fill up i manage to get 550km with 1/4 tank of fuel remaining. On the dash it says around 170km till empty. So that's around 720 kms for a full tank!

but that's a mixture of highway (60%) city driving (40%) and well within speed limit. Guess its because i wasnt stuck in traffic too much and was on comfort mode.

Pleasantly surprised this morning after refilling and driving bout 50 km. OBC showed 860km to go.
Been driving 80 % highway at speeds not more than 100 for the past week

Normally I don't check but today was waiting to pick up someone from the airport and was messing around and got a shock.anyone else getting this kind of reading or is it an error ??

the mileage left estimation is never accurate. its a decent guideline but it is never accurate.

trust the tripmeter. after 10 rounds of refilling (and reseting) your tripmeter. this is your best bet

I used Shell V-Power 97 and managed to get 7.1L/100km which is pretty impressive. I think its also due to the fact that I'm light-footed and most of my travel are on highway roads.

**Edit: I read in forums that there is not much difference between ron95 and ron97. So, I'm switching over to ron95. Anyone with facts to back this up?

the extra mileage u got with ron97 isn't justified with the price difference with ron95....

I managed to squeeze 550km from my F30 328i on Shell Vpower 97. Mostly light footed as my car is still in run in period.
