nice rims. Btw how's the performance of E46 in manual? Much more better than stock auto?

For the E46 M3, both manual & SMG cars are just as fast to 100km/h. For a regular E46, manual will be faster.

Update: Bought more replacement parts and upgrades for the M3. pictures courtesy of e34_lover

New (remanufactured by BMW's OEM) Waterpump. These parts are no longer made new, the housing is reused but all other parts in it are brand new. e34_lover's new photography style...

Have many more parts including matte kidneys but have not taken the photos yet.

Update: Did an oil service on the M3, sorry for the lack of pictures.

Changed the following parts/consumables:
- Liqui Moly Engine Flush
- Castrol TWS Engine Oil (6L)
- Genuine BMW Oil Filter Kit
- Hella OEM Oil Level Sensor

First, flushed the engine using Liqui Moly Engine Flush. When draining the old oil it became thicker towards the end, due to removal of some build-up. Happy with the results.

The oil level sensor was then removed and changed. Changed this because the car would sometimes throw a yellow oil light at random times, when turning off the car or while driving even though the oil level was correct.

New Hella OEM Oil Level Sensor

Update: Although the problem with the aux fan running at full speed was solved, the problem with the climbing temp still remained. Decided to bite the bullet and do a complete cooling system overhaul. Also changed the belts while the radiator was off. As usual, thanks to e34_lover for helping me with this DIY.

The following parts/consumables were changed:

- New (remanufactured) Water Pump
- Water Pump Gasket & O-Rings
- Genuine BMW E46 M3 radiator
- Genuine BMW Coolant
- Genuine BMW Engine Block Coolant Sensor
- Febi OEM Fan Clutch
- Continental OEM Belts

Before.

Fan shroud off.

All shrouds removed.

Old fan clutch - FILTHY

Cleaned the fan blades & water pump pulley.

New Febi fan clutch.

Old radiator removed.

Part of the debris stuck in the radiator.

Old belts.

New belts & new water pump installed.

New radiator.

New radiator installed.

Have tested the car for over two weeks now, the coolant temp is now below the halfway mark and only rises to half when the car is pushed hard. Do consider this DIY if your car is reaching 90k mileage for peace of mind. The bearings in my water pump were starting to fail. There was visible play and the rotating action was not smooth.

Update: The M3 is now on 19" Alpina Classics

Front: 225/35R19 19x8.5 ET20 (Final offset ET16 with 4mm spacers)
Rear: 245/35R19 19x9.5 ET30 (Final offset ET5 with 25mm spacers)

The current setup.

Forgot to link the videos showing the axial play in my water pump shaft uploaded by e34_lover.
We suspect this is the main cause of the unstable coolant temperature issue in my car.

Here is a video showing the amount of play on my old water pump.

Again but with the new water pump.

Update: The wait begins. Ordered, ETA 17th June.

Supersprint Race Exhaust

Having sleepless nights waiting for my exhaust, 19 days to go!
Should be being built right now in the Supersprint factory in Italy...

A teaser... (pictures & video courtesy of Evolve Automotive)

Looks good bro... sounds even better.
Hoping to be able to get the rumble of the Eisenmann for mine.

Maxx..
How your SS??possible to post the sound??
Same like in the link below?

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sUHkDXDRTU8

Hi Kit,

The link you posted above has the following:

Ebay Headers (Replica of Supersprint Stepped Headers)
Supersprint Front 'S' Pipe (Decat)
Supersprint Centre 'X' Pipe (De-resonated)
Supersprint Race 'Lightweight'

Sounds nice in the video but will be very loud in real life.

My car only has the Supersprint Race exhaust but I may order the X-pipe in the near future. The sound is roughly like this video but is louder in real life. You are welcome to come have a listen to my car as well as my brother's E36 M3 Evo (Supersprint Decat + X-pipe & Supersprint Race exhaust) if you are in KL. I am able to get a good discount on Supersprint products as I have a dealer contact.
