Never kill yourself for the car bro.... buy what you feel comfortable supporting. Remember, car is just a toy (though an expensive one!), NOT an investment. It will only depreciate.......

start with the 318

then 525

then 730.....

the idea is to go up the scale...... not just within the same series....

heheheheheeh

True bro! I started with the 325....so i had to go for the 530.... hopefully i won't reach the 7 level.... :rolleyes:

Given the time and when you are "old" enuff, you might consider the 7...:rolleyes:

Surely the 4-potter is easier than the 6-potter on the pocket bro....

As for the performance .. surely 6 potter is better...sometimes it depends on the driver also bro.. Skilled driver at 2.0 can beat an unskilled in 2.5L..
If you drive the 2.0 but know how to utilize the transmission & engine than it is not bad after all.
The transmission have 3 driving mode... try all the 3... Eco, Sports & Manual shifter...

Try to test drive 1st then decide...

To me the 2.0 is better in the city... better response during lauch & driveaway...
2.5 is better on the highway and overtaking..

Get the M43 engine.. its easy to source for spare and less headache.. Furthermore, I presume you're not a fast driver and option to convert to NGV in near future is easy too as M43 is maded of iron instead of aloy.

Good luck in your search bro... keep the extra money for Nissan 180 and mod it will new R33 engine for SIC run...

Cheers

i heard there is engine oil burnt issue for E46. which engine is affected with this kind of problem?

What I meant was (in jest), going by that logic, from 530 I would have to go for 740... and that is too much for me to handle road tax alone!

Having said that, if ever I am in such a financial position (and "old" enuff!) to be considering a 7, I would actually go for an S-Class. At that point in life I think comfort would be more a priority so for me, the S does the job better than the 7

i think 7 series is too big. maybe:

318 --> 325 --> M3

Lucky now BMW gives you more options so...

318->325->330->335->M3 :top:

Top Bottom
