today i meet m42 racun king..he doenst racun me indeed..but i just got racun by myself..:adore:the king is no other than our friendly Fabian Yee..i m driving e36 m42,same engine..we meet in e-gate penang to have some coffee b4 lookin at the ride that we have.:tee:.after he test drove my sloath car..he took me a spin in his mosnter e30..gosh i feel like a supercharger in his hood..damm immidiet power..:burnout::burnout:after doin some thinking,then only i realise the big different was cause by his m40 lightened fly wheel...:listen:nice meeting u Fab..only after goin a spin wit ur car,now only i realise what they meant by "baby m3":shakehands:do anyone have this m40 used flywheel n clutch set?:39:

there's more to it than his flywheel......and i'm very sure it won't be telling you upfront his long ,long held secret :listen: and that's why nobody in the 1.8 class can ever come close to his, even the 2.0s are put to shame.....

FAB??? huuuuu very bad influence... verrry bad influence... & very poisonous.......huuuuu the lightened m40 flywheel is only a tiny part from his list of mods.. hehehehehe..

no secret lah....

Test drove Mcfir's E36 318is and felt there's a few flat spots... Not sure what's the cause... The major flat zone was between 4,000rpm - 5,000rpm... Felt like someone pulled the handbrake slightly... U might want to get a competent mechanic to check it out....

btw, the custom made mandrel bent stainless steel extractor did make a difference to the power delivery... hehe... Another poison.

There's no secrets as far as the engine is concerned...
List of so-called bolt-on mod:
1) Perfect Power SMT6 piggyback ECU.. Smoothen the torque curve and slight increase in HP...
2) Nology Plug cables.
3) 3.5 bar FPR
4) Lightened (7.6kg) M40 single mass flywheel
5) custom made extractors.

Engine internals untouched...

Got another M42 engine for me to project... Haven't decided what to do yet.. hehehe.. That one would be secret... shhhhhhhhh....


oh, as for the custom extractor.. Wanna do bulk order??? Maybe can get at RM1300 or lower depending on the units...
E36 318is oso should fit...
E30 318i oso can....

Fab car is really nice to rev...feel like i did change to kn open pod the next day wit a diy heat shield..

thats would satisfy me a bit for now..at least i could have some sleep now without dreaming of Fab's car..

i find that the open pod is good if only u cover wit heat shield..i do get better consumption as well if i do rev that hard..

hehehhe i prefer the 4 throttle approach oso la,just playing, maybe we should go shopping at metric mechanics for valve springs,pistons,cranks etc before we go 4 throttle!!!manyak duit mau buang!!
