Iceman - I am sending my 46 to him so far no problem . Recently i had clucking sound from by front left wheel when ever i go thru hums. He know what he talking about. and changed the control arm and bush. Work great for me... :yahoo:

Any one had Bad Exprience ? :dunno:

My car is due for service very soon. I planned to make a trip down to HiTech Whees, Senawang but was wondering whether MSpeed (USJ) or Optimum Automotive (Kayu Ara) are worthwhile alternatives instead. You guys who go to either of the two, what your take with regards to pricing and workmanship? :dunno:
 
was in optimum on wednesday@ 30/3/05 for oil service and i was shocked with the level of skills of the workers, not sure abt jason, here's what they did, told them change oil, i brought my own oil, jacked up the car, ask them why not using the pump, to pump up old oil from the oil sump, look at me with a blank face and said what and how, i said from the dipstick you moron, gave another blank look, beginnin to regret for visiting them. They went ahead and remove nut from oil sump and drain oil, oil was drained and then they retightened the bolt. Open the new bottle of oil and was about to pour in new oil, when i shouted, moron, how about the filter, gave u another blank look, and said you want to change filter also ah, i nearly fainted and said of course, u mean u all dont change filter here in this workshop.I was pissed. Then he took a spanner and attempted to open the oil filter cap, i said hang on, u should have a special large nut cap to remove the filter cap. Look blank again, i went to their toolbox and search for the nut cap, found it and hand it to the guy. after that, they went searchin for filter, there were about four or different type at the table, he took the old filter and start comparing with a couple of them and finally found the correct one. after everthing is done, then told me ok finish, i said how about resetting the oil service indicator, look blank again and call another guy which then start resetting the indicator. Look this is suppose to be a bmw specialist workshop, and changin oil is the most basic skills required. cant even find the correct filter, attempting to remove filter cap w/o proper tools, change oil without changin filter and dont reset service indicator lights. Mebe the workers was havin a bad mornin or they are not trained properly. Can someone tell me otherwise, i was hoping to use optimum in the future as my regular mechanic (Ah yau) is gettin a bit far for me and he doesnt do weekdays xcept after work hours.

level of service there varies quite often. went there once to change signal bulb for e34 (would be an easy DIY, but didn't quite know how to twist and pull the socket).
Some fella put in a 24v rated bulb....my car kept on blinking as if it was an open ckt.... aiyo... e34 only 12v bulb, also cannot find stock (it was late though, around 6:30pm)... fed up, went by brother peter at uptown and got myself a 12v bulb to diy (since I learnt how to open the socket by then).

very tired... just finish looking at star wars episode 3 toy release.

selvam in PJ is ok...

he is quite reasonable on pricing and friendly too...

I "enjoyed" (becoz of ur storytelling skills) reading der account of ur escapade at Optimum und I can relate mit vat u ven thru. :( :getyourfactsright:
Yes, let all who patronize (not jus at Optimum) kno, dis iz der risk ve take ven we go 2 these UDM "specialist" werkshops (no doubt AB vill gloat at our misadventure) - "Let der buyer beware" - und danke 4 ur sharing!

I planned to make a trip down to HiTech Whees, Senawang but was wondering whether MSpeed (USJ) or Optimum Automotive (Kayu Ara) are worthwhile alternatives instead. You guys who go to either of the two, what your take with regards to pricing and workmanship? :dunno:

just did my oil change at MSpeed.

rm328 for 2 bottles of Shell Helix Fully Synt and Oil Filter and Reset Indicator

Look blank again, i went to their toolbox and search for the nut cap, found it and hand it to the guy. after that, they went searchin for filter, there were about four or different type at the table, he took the old filter and start comparing with a couple of them and finally found the correct one. after everthing is done, then told me ok finish, i said how about resetting the oil service indicator, look blank again and call another guy which then start resetting the indicator. Look this is suppose to be a bmw specialist workshop, and changin oil is the most basic skills required. cant even find the correct filter, attempting to remove filter cap w/o proper tools, change oil without changin filter and dont reset service indicator lights. Mebe the workers was havin a bad mornin or they are not trained properly. Can someone tell me otherwise, i was hoping to use optimum in the future as my regular mechanic (Ah yau) is gettin a bit far for me and he doesnt do weekdays xcept after work hours.

If i were you i will give them a good laugh. The bos of the workshop should be ashamed of himself of hiring such guys to work there and so call themselves BMW specialist. This is the style of those amatuer which has just open a tyre workshop. :yahoo:
 
Look this is suppose to be a bmw specialist workshop, and changin oil is the most basic skills required. cant even find the correct filter, attempting to remove filter cap w/o proper tools, change oil without changin filter and dont reset service indicator lights.

I've done at least 2 oil change and some other minor services in this workshop and I never had a problem with them, at least they knew they got to change filter, reset service indicator and not looking blank... The last time I did my service was about half a year ago, not sure if they hired someone new now.. But their friendly chief-ah foo/jason, is what attracted me so far.. And btw, I don't just stick to this workshop as u can see from my entry in the list...
