Most of us 320d boys do our servicing with Ravenol 5W 30 motor oil and engine becomes very smooth and quiet. 57 ringgit per litre. We go to Gloriang's in USJ 1 Mechanic's name is Jack. Supergood n superhonest mechanic! His HP number is 0166603181. Speaks very good English, Malay and Chinese. He has whatsapp too. I am sure your steering problem he can sort out too.

Me voted MSpeed (USJ) too. Helpful, sharing, experience and price reasonable. One disadvantage is no restaurant around. Only mineral water and 'HACKS' sweet that Ah Meng/John be able to serve while waiting for your bimmer check-up or operation.

I have been out of KL for some time and my e36 required an extensive services (oil, lower arm, 7-crank before it actually start).

I'm located in Bukit Jalil and before this I am a regular with Ah Seng in USJ.

I tried to contact him but to no avail. so I thought why don't I ask here.

Any suggestion for workshops near Bukit Jalil?

I'm driving E90 320i. Went to workhop in Sunway MOTOREN for normal service twice.
Can anybody comment about this workshop. I heard they overcharge you, especially the parts.

Pls help.

I've been to Motoren for quite some time now. Has been a good experience for me so far. Reliable and knowledgeable fella. If you are worried about the price of the parts, you can get the part number on realoem.com and purchase them directly from parts supplier like Stuttgart, Bomin or Bavarian Auto.

Thanks/Terima Kasih Fadhlan for your comment and useful informations.

Yes i know we can get parts from suppliers. If we buy the parts ourselves and ask any workshop to replace for us they will only charge the labour. But i just wondering if we do that, will they make noise or refuse to do? because we didn't buy the parts thru them. I am aware that some workshop did markup the parts price and charge it to customer on top of labour. For example: If we buy valvetronic motor from Bavarian auto will only cost us around RM500 but the workshop will charge you RM850 if we buy thru them. That is ridiculous! it's a RM350 extra. Like a day light robbery.
But, I am more than happy to buy parts myself and ask workhop to change and pay only the labour instead of being over charge by the workshop.

Thanks.
Anybody is free to comment for the benefits of others too. :67:

Based on my experience with Motoren, the charges have always been open book. I tell them BA sells this part for RM500, so they will buy the part for me and charge for labor. Normally labor charge is between RM50 to RM150 depending on how much time that they will need to do the work.

So far Motoren has been good for me. I know a coupla guys from BMWCM who also go there. I've also seen the JM Beriyani owner and the owner of Sonax Malaysia sending their BMWs there. My only complaint is that they are located 30km away from my home in Ampang.
