Hi guys, have a problem with car. lights comes on when i turn the key but nothing happens when i try to crank the engine. check the battery its fine.any ideas what is wrong?? Cheers

See if your gear shifter is in Parking(P) mode or not. Happened to some I know.

Might be the starter. I had the same issue few months back...Towed the car to my workshop and they confirmed the starter was the problem... good luck!

Did your battery warning sign lights up on your meter ? If yes check your alternator then.

Is there a crank sound? If no crank sound..then it should be startor.......
If there is crank sound, it might be your crank sensor

All the lights when you turn the ignition before starting.

DO u means your Instrument cluster meter indicator lights and the Headlight ?
If such as the case it was similar to me 1 month ago, my alternator kong so no more charge for the battery. After i replace my alternator carbon and charge bck my battery all back to normal till now. But im not sure since u said your battery was fine.

Sent my ride to exhaust shop and got feedback just the following day that car will not crank but all lights normal. After few minutes of checking they found out it's due to 3rd party car alarm triggered but no actual alarm sound emitted (something wrong somewhere), hence engine will not crank. They proceed with few rounds of locking and unlocking and car was able to crank/start after that.

It might be the sign of crank-sensor, battery, alternator etc giving way as well.

since there are so many probabilities... any petrol in the tank?

Bro even if there's no petrol, I'm quite sure it would still crank.

towed the car to the mechanic if still cannot crank the engine.

btw, it has nothing to do with the crank sensor if the car cannot even crank.

change the battery first and see whether it crank or not.
