Lights always on in A mode

Hi guysJust noticed today that my headlamp (not DRL) is always on if I set it to A (Auto).It's bright (I'm driving around 5pm).My dashboard lights up as well as though it's dark.Anyone has a clue why?

Mine does that too... but do notice that in not so dark condition, the dashboard light is white, not the amber color... amber color only when the surround is really dim, nevertheless with ur headlight on it causes more attention to the other drivers in front of your for safetly reason so not a bad thing at all... BMW has done quite a vast research and came to the conclusion that the amber color on the dashboard causes minimal eye strain, fatigue to the driver as compared to white or other color...

mine is set to A too and on some sunny mornings...around 8-830am..the headlamp goes on too.
the sensor must have sensed that its not bright enough?

i did call SC and request them tolower down the sensitivity of foto sensor of the car,but SC replied they can't do anything abt this.....it is a little bit too sensitive for the sensor...(
