Hello does anyone know or can help list the stations around Kuching that has RON97/Primax3 fuel? I was at the Hui Sing Petronas tonight and none of the pump has RON97 but since I am there I ended up fueling my car up with Primax95.Would appreciate it if anyone knows where to get RON97 in Kuching. Thanks.Regards,Ferdinand

Yup looks like Petronas is not serving RON97 in Kuching. I heard SHELL is, so I guess it is time to switch to SHELL or I will have to work out a method where I fill up at half tank at all times alternating between SHELL and Petronas :) So far I have loaded 52 liter worth of RON95 on my ride, does not feel any performance drop of any kind, I am wondering if it because there are still residue RON97 left in the mix from their underground tanks :)

Anyone can list all the petronas stations still selling Primax 3 R97 in klg Valey?

Ok i know Shell Kpg Gita petra jaya still have the 97,just pumped last nite, thank god..

Just in case there are people who are interested, on my E46 on Primax95 I am getting 6.7357km/l compare to getting 7 to 7.3km/l when I was using Primax3 ( RON97).

I have no switched to SHELL SUPER RON97, will be interesting to see what that gets me. Right now comparing it to Primax3 the $0.25 savings is really not there for me to use RON95, if you factor in the mileage loss the savings is down to about $0.15 and if you factor in the cleaning addictives in the better RON97 fuel that might even lower the actual savings. For some reason I have an odd feeling that I am being screwed here as a consumer.

Ok just a quick update, RON95 definitely gives me less mileage compared to RON97 so I guess I am sticking to Shell Super for now just because Petronas in Kuching don't offer RON97 fuel.

Just a note also, this Shell fuel economy formula is just another marketing ploy, as far as I am concern, there is no difference when it comes to mileage between Shell Super and Primax3. However, Primax3 seems to give more ummmmph, but again unfortunately due to Petronas not having RON97 fuel I have no choice but to go with Shell Super for now.

lols, skrewwed up big time by d gahment eh?? lols.
e30 on RON95..so far, erm cant feel much difference? or its my indifference? @_@

Haha.....I thought I was the only one with that kinda bad mileage. 6.17km/l from me V Power/RON 98/ RON 97 rojak mix. RON 95 will give me better mileage? Dont dare to try though. Keke

EJ: Well, I just go by mileage, "feel" is not a quantitative measurement.

Roger: Well I think for the sake of better mileage I should move to Serian and commute to Kuching daily at 10am in the morning and go back to Serian after 9pm :) But yeah it is comforting to know you have the same crappy mileage as me, so it is not the car then hahaha....

Defintely not the car.....its my heavy right foot. Keke But on a serious note, I am actually a slow driver. Still dont really understand why drink petrol like water like that. Maybe due to a lot of city driving.

P.S> No need to move to Serian. 17th Mile can already. Keke

I don't care much about being heavy footed or not, I just drive the way I feel or when the road condition allow for it, as I have tried the light footed method and there is no significant difference in mileage. It is definitely due to city driving. This Raya I have made 2 "long" trips across the toll bridge and that should give me significant increase in mileage for sure :) We'll see, it is almost time to refill my tank :) I will post it here when I fill up, that way I can keep track of how my mileage goes also :p

In Kuching, i found at Petronas Kuching Utara and Petronas Hui Sing. they permanently selling primax 3/ron97.
it really save.
in miri/bintulu at petronas lambir, bulan sabit and jln sultan iskandar.
i saw advertisement at petronas that they got promotion now.
RM 1,000,000 for 196 winners + 6 cars for 6 winners.
my friend said others petronas will sell primax 3 soon.

Ruz: You sure? maybe they do now, previously they didn't. But I am happy now with Shell Super, just top up yesterday and I was at 7.56km/liter haven't seen that number at all when I was on Primax3 for a year.
