No problem donkz hehe, we are here to share information and only to help others  :)

Guys and gals,

Personally I have never tried the 92 fuel before. What about comparison between 97 and V-Power(98)?? From my own observation, V power gives more oommph but mileage sucks. 97 fuel(caltex/shell/esso anyway) less oommph but better mileage. Other observations from bros?

Didn't really experience any difference between V-power and the other fuels. Your high consumption could be due to you psychoing yourself to rev harder :nyehehe:

Ha FC!

This is my experience. Since using the car for 4 months, I noticed that Shell has bad FC and Petronas is rather good. But what found out is that my current tank now with 1/4 left already given me extra 80km at least. Not sure what the heck happen but this is what I did. Pump RM42 Project 97, use about RM20 then pump RM61.50 Mobil Synergy then top up with Petronas (RM23). So, it is possbile that mixing petrol helps??? 20%Project + 20% Petronas + 60% Mobil?

BTW, I just serviced my car 2 weeks ago, did 1 KLIA run with the current tank, clean the K&N 2 weeks ago and use STP Injector cleaner in my last tank. So, not sure which factor contributed to this extra mileage.

Sigh, if only I know.......

P/S - Dont laugh at me OK.

FYI. Both 92 & 97 are unleaded. I have been it for my E34 ever since the petrol price went up & discovered it actually give a better mileage. Surpriseeeee...........

I have not tried 92 but occasionally I do when I passed through Projet Stations and have an empty tank at the same time. All I can its you can notice the smoothness compared to other premium brands. Wish there will be more Projet stations around!

I went to Projet USJ to enquire about opening a petrol kiosk :nyehehe: :nyehehe: RM 300k to start up.. :beaten: :beaten:

Al,

If RM300K only, you will see a lot of kiosk around already. No not so easy.... Itu Tengku or Tan Sri or Datuk punya title mesti ada dulu or you punya darah mesti ada sikit serupa dengan mereka (kerabatlah) then baru boleh ambik borang..... he he he

Then kena do this.... do that..... attend courselah...... bank gauranteelah.....cari tanahlah......and the worst thing it semua ini yearly renewal!! tengok tengok next year lesen kena tarik... lingkuplah tu.

Cheers

I think ProJet is easier compared to Petronas and Shell which if you are non-bumi, there is little chance of getting one. But Projet got a catch, I think they still want to manage Destina meaning to say you only make $$$ from fuel sales and non from the selling of consumer goods.

Al,

Its better I think if they want to manage Destina. Retail risk is higher isn't it? Although money from fuel sale is little (I was told) but at least the product sell itself. Well, just my thought. I am not is retailiing.

If there is no other limitation, then RM300 start up is very attractive considering how good Projet image is. Could not believe it when my fren drove all the way just to have DINNER in Projet. Seems like they are going the "Groceries Store that also sell petrol" rather then "Petrol Kiosk that also sells groceries" direction. Good marketing I must say.

Their foot long sausage and nasi lemak sells pretty well.

Basically petrol kiosk owners make 8 cents per liter before expenses, net should be around 3.5 to 4 cents. So its a volume business. Managing the sundry shop (destina) is lucrative...otherwise why would Projet wants it??? :nyehehe: :nyehehe: For Shell shops, you have to procure the products from there even though you could literally get it cheaper at Tesco or Giant!

Ha! Must get from shell themselves? Whoa, its ridiculous. Are they all the same i.e. BP, Mobil etc.? Like that want to sell pirated VCD also cannot lah.

Anyway, what to do. They hold the license what.

BTW, can anybody tell me where does "Projet" come from?

Are they a joint venture or something. We know the common name like shell, petronas, caltex, mobil and esso. What aout projet. Where is their refinery? Does they sub the refinery to the local giant or they have own refinery?

If I am not mistaken, they are only around a few years but yet they have have make quite an impact.

Anybody works in projet??

most of the time its not the brand of petrol that causes a problem. It's the vendor that plays foul by contaminating the petrol with other substances. Even Projet does have certain stations whereby you use the petrol from there and no power at all and another one pump in..power. This are all the bad hat tricks that some of the vendors/petrol stations do to cut down cost by contaminatin the petrol which sucks big time.
actually.. what you say is not true.. most of the dealers adhere to terms and conditons spelled out by the petrol compaines and the ministry.

did you know none of the dealers mix nor short change any consumers even to the last drop when you pump. even the ministry does spot checks as when they like....

if the dealers are cought, their permits will be revoked immediately, a fine amounting to RM250k, court case and a fine to the petrol company of millions...

as for the stations that you feel that is better are the difference of a new station and a old one.. the tanks need to be changed every 12 years.
old ones contains other sediments, water vapors, etc... these are the 'other' subtance that causes that 'low power' feeling to your car...

hopefully these clears the 'foul play' :)

regards.

their foot long sausage not that great........

i know a better product that beats the current one flat out

anyone works in projet...? hint* hint*

the petronas oil refinery in melaka is a joint venture with conoco... so that's conoco technology in action and quite a number of conoco guys there too... conoco probably has a stake in the projet petrol stations...

Sorry to say this but I will not be going. I am from JB. I really hope that the MD of Projet can orgnize another event in JB. If you are hearing Mr. MD of Projet, pls arange another event in JB because it is too far for me to go to KL. We have a lots of stations in JB too and we have a lots of member of the bmw club in JB too . Anyway thankx for the invitation. As always I will be a loyal supporter for Projet. Thank you for providing us with your high quality petrol.

to me, all the fuel is the same. it all depends on the petrol station owner on how he does the maintenance of the fuel he keeps bawah tanah. all minyak in msia dtg from petronas...... then branching out......
