Is there a possibility where the car stalls when it can no longer detect the key fob on low battery mode? Unlike e60, there is no slot for the key. Had an experience recently with message stating could not detect key. Drove off ignoring the message and lucky the car did not stall.

car won't stall but u won't be able to use it to open the door once the battery is completely flat, hv to manually open ur door with the key. u can buy the battery outside, save at least half. the dealer will charge you more than rm30 for that battery

Yes, you are right on your points but what if for whatever reason, car is moving and it states keys not detected? Under these circumstances, rightfully car will stall after certain distance.

Better example will be like handling the car to a jockey without the key.

I know that beside the steering is the detection point for the key fob however my thoughts is if it will work when battery on key fob is fully depleted?

i was always under the impression the engine will continue running regardless of the distance and will only unable to restart the car if it were shut down after that...how does this comfort access actually works?

Did that once with the jockey at Zouk. It caused quite a commotion at the valet area. Damn shy!
