Hi guys, I'm quite new to this BMW forums but have done quite a lot of research on E34. Recently I found 1 nice E34 for sales, below are the spec of the car. Actually I'm looking for manual tranny E34520i M24V (Manual) Year: 92 pearl black, L-seats, 18" racing dynamic s/rims, Cd player, AC Schnitzer, full b-kitPrice: RM35,000.00Worth to buy?Appreciate all the feedback, thanks in advance!!

price is pretty much ok. are you sure it's a 24V? most 24Vs come in auto, difficult to find a manual.

that the reason why I'm interested in this car, it's manual tranny yet it's 24V engine.
According to the seller, it's manual 24V engine.
I haven't view the car yet, but planning to take a look on this Saturday.

Hi,

520 24V is has a manual version. I am driving one. As for whether it is worth buying ? If it has been well maintained yes. Big boot space. Comfortable ride. FC good for long distance, a bit high on stop/go traffic.

How's the power wise for manul 520i 24V compared to manual 520 12V, alot of different?

How can we check whether it's original manual or converted manual?

If I'm not mistaken.., 520i-12V is 129bhp, 520i-24V is 150bhp. Unfortunetly, mine is former

yes.....but you have to find it yourself if you want cheap and it's not easy to find + a bit expensive, if not all the E34s owners here would have done the facelift I reckon.

Do a VIN check on line, it will tell you if its manual and also the designation of the tranny.

My 525 24V manual touring (stationwagon) has S5D 310Z the same as the S50B30US M3 "95 model. Very sweet drive.

Oh on the big grill. Keep the narrow grill!. Its nicer, the big grill makes the car look like a 7-series while the small grill looks more like a 3-series. Nicer when you come up quickly behind an E46 318 on the highway!.... he thinks "oh E30 only, I will show him ", you keep up and eventually take him at 220Kph, bye bye.

If you spot a big grill, then no fun la. 318 guy will think "oh sh*t, here comes a 735, better get out of the way. Or is this the kind of respect you want to command ?.

If the car is well kept, buy it! You will not get another chance for years to come.

You guys are very helpful!!!

Sure thing fellows. The purpose of the board is to help one another. I enjoy doing this and is participating in the US bimmer.info E34 board. Made some great friends there including an Australian "Big Kris". Nice bloke who seems hooked on "Trackdays" in Wakefield.

I know the feeling.

I hope to get some english speaking germans to participate in that board. But as the internet is Global, there is a spainard there (not Alonso), several UK guys, a few jolly australians and a couple of kiwis who contributed regularly. I think I am the only Asian there.

Check that out:
