I called in Takaful Malaysia and they told me they give an additional 25% discount on top of the 55% NCD that you would normally have. Not sure how true it is. Furthermore, the betterment charges will only apply for >11 years old car. And they do accept claims if the car is sent in to AB for repairs....

What are your thoughts on this?

Hi Ade,

Takaful Malaysia is different from Takaful Ikhlas. Takaful Ikhlas is based in Section 19, PJ near rothmans roundabout. Their contact is 78011288. THey do have an sales office in Wisma Sime Darby Jalan Sultan Ismail.

I personally like takaful ikhlas because they are new and more "ikhlas". Besides, they are small so can really pay attention to their customer.

I called ikhlas and malaysia. Just wanted to know your opinion in Tak. Malaysia insurance scheme..the 25% on top of the current NCD seems tempting..

Can anyone suggest a repair workshop from the MNI list below, my friend got into an accident from a 3rd party and not sure which workshop to send her car to. Your input is very much appreciated.

We are worried to simply send the car to any unknown workshop and more serious problems later.. ie engine parts changed, and etcs

Like I said, some insurance already started to waive the betterment if the car is repair by those franchise service center as long as they are getting the bulk business from the particular manufacturer. How true for AB I am not sure.

Arms, so if we want to buy a motor insurance, we need to check out with the insurance company see whether they will waive for the betterment or not? can we check with the franchise like UMW, AB, etc ask them to advice which insurance will waive betterment?
