see, when your reading is fine, it shows better millage... somemore the engine must be healthy mode....

Finally found time to take out the instrument cluster to check what's the problem....

The cause was that the replacement plastic gearing I bought some 8 years back had shrunk slightly, at certain angle the teeth can't make contact and then catch on again... Time for replacement gears...
