If anyone know. If I were to order some small parts (headlights or fog lights, etc) from a friend overseas, will the items be taxed when my friend return to Malaysia? I think it will be taxed but I just want to be sure. If anyone knows, around how many % ?

The items are taxable, and if you ship them in by mail/courier then you could get taxed, especially if the value (items+shipping) is above a certain amount (some say RM500 for car parts, but I know for sure if DVDs/CDs, you are likely to get taxed if value is above RM200).

However, if your friend is bringing it in by hand, then if customs does not stop him at the airport (am presuming your friend is returning by air), then you're fine/lucky :). If customs does stop him and decide to tax... well it depends on what the tax rate for the various items. I don't know the percentage for car parts, but I believe it could be quite hefty. For DVDs and CDs.. expect around 50-55%.
