I think I have DME EWS problem...

I drive E39, 523i Double Vanos... Suddently my car lost power, and after a while, it turn to normal again. This happen many times while im driving regardless fast or slow. Well, after checking with computer, it shows that the DME EWS appeared to be fault. Anyone experience this before and anyone can give me idea what cost that i am facing now? uhuhuhuhuhp/s: not a good start for 2013

Ur problem seems like not related to EWS. If error log shown ews it could be key problem which log previously. It could be ur DME having problem. Pls meet me to scan ur car first.

trans failsafe prog meaning transmission facing problem. It can be ur gear box or transmission board having problem.

Not really. Low current or battery will engage the same error, sometimes either battery or alternator is dying.

Thanks Tweiboon. Yes, Im in Penang. Bro Aidilj, macam mana nak contact u? Btw, I 've check the air mass as well, but it seem okay, the trottle body also got no problem. I guessing that might be cause by Fuel Pump, i really dont know... Anyway, Tweiboon is also correct about my key's problem as it is not functioning (the remote) quite long time ago, but the car runs perfectly all this while. It could be DME. If it is, can it be replaced? or do i need to replace the whole set of DME EWS system? Look fwd from Aidilj's contact.

At last, problem solved. Lucky that only fuel pump seem to be fault cause some wiring failure (that what my mechanic told).Due to that, one float need to be changed as well. My car back on track again... thanks for all support. One more lesson learned.

May I add .. it might be related to ABS Module too... cause it happened to me @-@
