How to tell if its an e46 facelift model?

Mine sharing with us how and where u first meet "her" and how things getting along after that..

I certainly want to avoid mistake made by others especially how you examine "her" making sure she's really FL version..

1. Check the engine chassis no. with the VIN decoder, link below :
Facelift models are manufactured 2002 & beyond.

2. Get the sifus here to recommend a good workshop, and have a thorough diagnostic of the car done before signing on the dotted line... I've to thank Calvin Tan for this.

Hi I'm newbie here... also about to join the other UDM fellas.... I went to the one of the recon car dealer.. they are selling 2001 new facelift E46 318 2.0 uk spec at RM147k... is it the market price? 2001 UK spec already facelifted?

me realy feel lucky...cause i read .....that those sifus show how to comfirm e46fl model....this case make me headache,cause i remember my fren ckd 318i 2002 got 5speed with +/- transmission,but when i went to car dealer (mostly cheras area) e46 2002/2003have no this feature.....anyways thks....i knew much from here...appreciate to all sifus that shows us....
