wan puchong ...i think this topic had been discussed in the forum aplenty of time ...a search around the e46 section can get you what you want .... and spend some time reading those articles there ...

yehh indeed a 6 potter 325 and above is my choice ....

rest cosmetic will highly depends on how deep your wallet is ...

happy searching ..

thanks iceman...can give me any post link about choosing a perfect types of e46? dont know where to search...thanks:top:

There is no such thing as a perfect E46. It is second hand lar. What do you expect?

Expect to spend some money to bring it former glorious condition.

if you can't decide between a 318i and a 325i, then you need to relook at the reasons for wanting an E46 in the first place.

There are no perfect e46. Its always a work in progress. Find one that you like, has lesser issues, and start to make it perfect for you.

Please help me bmw e46 sifu's....Thanks:top:

wan...it all depends how much can you dish out for maintenance. A 6 cyl model is definately higher as it requires almost 6 litres of engine oil, 6 spark plugs, and a few more engine parts. Hence cost slightly more. One thing about german parts (must be original ah!) is that they last far longer than jap ones altho must know which brand la...

your choice here is a rare M-Sport 2.2 litre one. I'd say grab it!...but best if u bring a mechanic (pref a bmw speciliase one) or a forummer to help you spot if there are any serious problems.

Wear and tear have to change la of coz as the car is 10 years old adi....

lastly...Caveat emptor :)

Wan, apologies..after detailed analysis of the pics...its not an original M-Sport.

the dead giveaways are the windows rain gutters which should be in glossy black and the interior trim should be black cubes and not silver. Don't pay more than you should. Rims and steering are easy to obtain and shouldnt add a huge premium over the price.

Shop wisely :)
