Dear fellow forummers,my car has been very tempremental lately. after two hours of driving, (worst if caught in traffic) the car tempreture will start increasing and need to halt. i notice that the water level in the radiator is so low.i don't think is's because of radiator cap or water pump because i've replaced these two item before, so i suspect it is due to the blown head gasket.if so, how much does it cost to replace a blown head gasket on a e34 m50b20?thanks and regards.

Looks like u hv a minor leak...while idling, pop d hood, rev high & look everywhere if any hoses leaking.
Last, bleed d system if cann't find any leak.

Changing head gasket is no small stuff. If not mistaken,it's fr RM800-
RM1000.

Cheers B)

can't be the head gasket ? you checked for water trace in the radiator tank ?

How old is your car. it is more than 6 years old, look for the rubber hose. Some of the rubber hose are located at the back of the engine and they cannot be seen from the side. these hosea are going into the car for the air con/heating.
Since you have change the radiator, suggest that you seriously look at the rubber hose. I change my radiator before and the problem still persist. After changing the rubber hose and water manifold, problem solve.

Do a radiator preassure test. If the the preassure drops and the leakage is visible, just change the leak hoses/pipings. If its not visible, then most probably your head gasket koyak already

thank you very much guys for the advices.... now i know my next course of action. i really appreciate it. :eek:k:
