I understand you want to have the info before committing to a purchase, but your question is way too vague at the moment.

Suggest you put in more details about the year and condition of the car you're thinking of buying, as well as info like whether it will be a daily drive or a weekend car, your driving style, estimated daily mileage you'll be clocking, etc.

per year ...depends on what ya engine capacity you're getting ... 520 ka , 525 ka ....the best if always think for the worse scenario ..a gearbox problem ..which may cost a whooping rm 3~6K ...so if you've got a figure as such , i would say then the yearly maintainance should be suffient to run the car with all the others wear and tears parts to be replace ...

so space up rm10K per/year would be the best figure to keep up with the cost ...

Ha ha ha...funny way you put it...nice though...its important how we drive car...unfortunately we are not driving new Bimms to get 5 years warranty..so the budget have to be there for maintenance..this year alone I have spent almost 7K..

Depends on research I guess....make sure the car was maintained well previously, number of owners, who the owners were (profile if possible), maintenance/service receipts...and get your mechanic friend to check out the car with the diagnostic machine. This is what I did, and have had my car for over 3 years, and spent less than rm5k on maintenance so far. I'm sure there are others who've spent over 10k a year as well. 80% of your luck depends on research.

bro, i think you should rephrase your question. also, information is not free. you should get yourself acquainted with the members...buy them drinks...and then ask face-to-face to show your eager-ness and sincerity in getting this model and what you know so far about the pros and cons. this would be a better approach don't you think?
