How bad is this EDC?

My mechanic sent me this pic of the front EDC. He says the dust cover is broken.

I'm wondering if I should replace the whole EDC or just the dust cover and mounting components....

Don't be ridiculous. A dust cover is easily replacable and costs RM 100 at most.
an EDC shock absorber runs from RM 1-5 k depending on whether from China or Original BMW

I was thinking that if the dust cover is busted, most likely the mounting hardware is going as well. But I'll confirm with my mechanic if they had actually tested the EDC absorber.
