Unfortunately, no coz the headlamp is completely seal. You need a heat gun to melt the glue to open the lamp. Another thing is that the low beam is made of plastic. it might melt the plastic when you open it.

E36 and E46 is the only one of the few lamp that can be fitted with angel eye.

i found one place the sell the CCFL angel eyes at RM450 cash and carry.... got blue, white and red!!!!!

CCFL angel eye usually comes in white or blueish white but I have yet to see a red colour one in town. Would be interesting to see how the outcome would look like on an E36... By the way, I think zen is selling ar RM380... but you have to install it yourself.

yo jarance,

I was thinking of saving money and instead of getting new head lamps for my e30 ... i'll do DIY instead because new lamps can cost about 600 plus.

Do you think its worth it to go ahead and try to clean the old lamps or just chuck them away and get new ones... :D

For an e30, the headlight is completely sealed. To removed the glass cover, you need a heatgun. I have managed to removed the glass for the High beam cos the casing is metal. However could not do it for the low beam coz the casing is made of plastic. The plastic tend to melt when the glass cover is heated up to removed the glass.

Sugguest that you clean the glass cover from the inside. Somebody sugguest to fill it with detergent and fine sand. I don't really recommend sand coz it might scratch the reflector surface during the cleaning process. I have try it using tissue paper ans soap water for my fog light cos the tissue tends to dissovle when it is soaked in water. (Less harm to your reflector)
