Anybody had tried this or anybody knew anything about it? Claimed can brighten up the existing light and the cheapest alternative for HID. No need to change other thing, just add this thing before the bulb. I think it is a step-up transformer (small size). Thanks

Yeahla, saw this in one of the local mag, wonder how it perform. Being thinking of giving them a call or visit their place to have a look, yet to find the time.
This might be a good pocket friendly upgrade.

Pllllllllssssssss update if anyone have tried.

Just contact them this morning.

They didn't do direct selling to end user. We must get it through their retailer. (none in PJ and Subang, nearest to subang will be in Jalan Klang Lama)

The cost. Material ONLY RM500 NOT including installation.

For me if RM500, I'll go for HID

Let me coil a few wires and make a step-up transformer and sell it to you for RM50 (and make 90% profit).

RM500 upfront. Then RM40-200 per week depending on your bulb of choice because you'll blow your bulbs every week! :p

Nah! It's HID for me too. :D

Yeah and like bimmerman said, I now wahtch you replace the blown bulbs every week.

Just checked with a customer of mine who does a lot of HID & sound dampening installation.

According to him, this headlight booster thingy is actually the HID ballast. It boosts the voltage of the standard bulbs to 23-25kV or something like that, which supposedly increases the bulb's 2300K to about 3900K, hence making the light whiter. Maybe not necessarily brighter ...

Sounds strange that a HID ballast can be used with standard bulbs, but my customer guarantees it'll work. Any electronic wiz out there who can verify this ? :dunno:
