Geoffreylee,

What happened to you? The host of the event ffk? I was there at 14:00 exactly and no one was there.

It's a good thing that ramsing came. We had a round and I had another as he had to leave. It was good fun! For a beginner, the 80cc is quite thrilling. Hehehe...

ramsing, I agree with you mate. We should gather a much bigger group and it'll be a lot more fun.

My sincere applogy guys as my car's check engine light came up while I am at Kesas Highway, minutes after the car jerk like hell... From 1pm I am stuck at the workshop in Kepong till 6pm ..

I am very sorry... I'm so excited about the Gokart as I have my helmet, gloves ready ..with mineral water too..

Sorry guys.. but I am very glad you have fun!

he just showered the door ( see bucket ) and was squeeze drying him, then hung on clothes rack in background. Aiyah so obvious rite? LOL!

anyone still playing go-kart? i played a few times in an indoor track in bangkok recently and have to say that the karting there is of world-class standard. some highlights include excellent condition karts with consistent performance, lap timing, remote controlled throttle for safety during accident, track changes every month and overall a nice chillout place. last week went to sepang to play the 4-stroke karts and find that the standards are a bit out la. just realize there are other go kart tracks in msia like USJ, Shah Alam and a new one in Melaka which is apparently the largest in SEA and world-class standard with lap timing. any comments on the other tracks?

to maintain and run go-kart centres are not cheap...

City Karting at the Shah Alam stadium is the longest running, AFAIk.. Used to hold international events. Kart maintenance also pretty decent by Malaysian standard.. :p

sorry to bring this thread up...

anyone know where to kart that is reasonably prices?

first of all, there isn't that many kart centres in the Klang Valley, 1 hand can count all aledi..
Those that I know:
1) City Karting in Stadium Shah Alam car park
2) ELITE highway USJ exit (Not sure what it's called now, but used to be under Mofaz)
3) Sepang Go kart centre
4) Extreme Park Sunway (not sure still in business or not)

Not sure what are the fees these centres are charging now. City Karting used to charge RM35/10mins for 80cc 2-stroke karts.
U can always google for contact number to inquire.

..this sounds interesting..however..I hadn't try go kart, except one at Genting :) and i was last one..bloody thing died on me :) is it same .. heheheheh

there are different types of engines used to run go karts... mainly 2 stroke and 4 stroke with various capacity.... the Genting ones shud be the slower 4 stroke 'lawnmower' engine...
City Karting runs 2 stroker engines on the karts. both 80cc and 100cc for their rental karts.

The one at ELITE highway (just before USJ exit southbound) used to have go karts with 4-stroke 250cc engines but no way near the performance of a 2-stroke 80cc engine, let alone the 100cc 2-stroke. Not sure what karts they using there now though...

Just to add to Fab's info.

-City Karting opens daily and has the 2 seater kart which means u can bring your gf/wife/mother in law or kids on the track safely.
- The Elite track ( one just behind the Caltex station ) is owned by PLUS.....bumpy track and yes, I think they still run 4 strokes there.
- The Sepang one.....is world class, very smooth. Also, a new operator will take over soon......same operator as the Shah Alam fella, so i reckon 2 strokes will be available there shortly.
- Extreme Park.......i think already closed sometime back but I may be wrong.

For City Karting, check their website on www.citykarting.com

Here's an idea...wanna do a kart outing event? I haven't go karted for ages now and this should be fun.
