Hi All,My fuel indicator suddenly gone dead, currently is showing at the far left and the warning light is light up too. Before it happen, I still have about 1/2 tank full, however also notice the indicator drop at a faster rate compare to normal few days before it happen. Anyone encounter this problem before, please share.

Did you check if you have a leak in your fuel tank or fuel lines?

Shouldnt be leaking, I still can drive about 50KM after the problem happen.

Got it fixed, problem due to the floater not able to gauge the level as the wiring gone damage. Total cost on fixing RM45 just to rewire. :eek:k:

Hi BlueMixWhite, got the same problem, can you let me know where u got ur problem fixed, and at a good price too.... if need be, pls pm me the details...Ta

Just check the connection at the left and right fuel sensor.
Chances is that one of the wire of the fuel sender have came off
when you went over a hump.
To check just use an ohm meter and check the connectors.
You should be able to register about 100 to 250 ohms.
The fuel sender that is open circuit is the culprit.

You need a soldering gun to rewire it..

I got it fixed at Chu Seng in Penang. If the wire need shouldering, should be quite cheap anywhere. Unless have to change the whole floater. The floater is located under the rear seat.
