Hi Guys,I am a bit paranoid especially when we all can guess that fuel prices are surely going to increase once the elections are done and over with. I am driving a E46 320i 2.2; 6 cylinder and my fuel consumption (shown on onboard computer) is currently at 10.6L/100km (don't know if that's ok or not??). Not forgeting my tyres are 18/235/40. Most of my driving is in town. Do share with us your fuel consumption and don't forget to include your engine capacity, tire size or any other modification done to your UDM. Cheers.

mine's about 12.6l/100km shown onboard
E46 325i stock standard with puny 16"
but definitely its inaccurate!!

hi.
i'm getting 27mpg ( car brought from uk ) 316ise manual 2001 , drving around town, using 206/60-15 tyres ( original standard size )with average speed of 17mpg as per computer reading.i think its pretty reasonable as i like to think i'm a careful driver , avoid sudden stop and acceleration.Full tank is about rm 120, half tank gets me from kota bharu to alor setar with average speed of 110-120km/hr or 70-75mph.
muar to jb via pagoh is about rm 40 petrol money return trip , almost equal the tol money , aiyaaah!!
any comments welcomed , tq

Mine is E46 318i 2.0 stock standard 16" rims. At highyway 110-120km/h is showing 8l/100km. KL - Kuantan is RM40 currently

My oldman's Volvo 940 is 33sen/km, pumped RM110 with meter registering only 330km since the last full tank.. :(

My 2 months old E90 320i OEM 17" RFT wheels is registering 11.3l/100km on the OBC.. which works out to be about 21.6sen/km. But will pump full tank the next time to manually calculate it... OBC cannot trust.. :D

Volvo should eaten more fuel based on drivers comments saw in forum compared to bimmer. E90 320i 6 speed should be more FE

323ci - 5 speed auto on 18's
OBC is normally about 10% optimistic..
get 21 to 23 cents per km based on km travelled per odometer vs fuel pumped till full....but daily drive of 50km - of which only 10 to 15 mins in a jam....OBC shows average speed of 42km over last 1 month.

However, if stuck in a jam frequently - consumption about 23 to 25 cents per km...

Yah man, driving the Volvo 940 is like I am driving with a huge parachute opened behind my back.. maximum sluggishness.. other VOCM forumers responded about 28sen max for urban drive while I'm getting 33sen with slumber acceleration and not heavy city traffic.. :( Looks like I have a restoration project before me.. oldman reluctant to swap it for an E36.. unless its an E60.. :(

my ride e46.318i.rim standard 16"

my fuel RM 160 every 450km
160/450 = RM 0.36/km

160/2.7 = 59 litter
59/450 = 13 litter/100km

is that normal or too high.
anyone can help me how to reduce the fuel?

my bimmer 320i 2.2L 6
full tank =rm160 - OBC = around 5++km
petrol finished = Have to to up again...never calculate...sakit hati.....:top:

my E46 318i 1.9L 4cylinder 2001
full tank RM160(petrol rm2.70 per liter) - OBC can reach 600km

y is my car so high consumption???
e46 320i 6cyl auto(yr 2000)..
full tank rm160..
can only go 450km..
235/40/17..
early morning from serdang to puchong using the LDP highway at bout 110-120km/h..
afternoon will be going back home using the kesas highway from puchong to serdang at about 120-160km/h..
can anyone give me some advice to have better fuel consumption..
thx..

the consumption is depends whether u calculate for town ride or highway
mine e46 - 4 speed - town ride Rm 100 = 300KM
highway blom test
i always never fill full tank becoz of the weight it will burn more fuel

Hi,

I've heard ppl save fuel that way. How much do you fill in each time?

from empty i always fuel Rm 100, in that way i can see the difference which when i fuel Rm 30 when the tank is empty jus about 15KM ride the light pops out lol

my ride e46.325i.rim 18"

my fuel RM 118 every 420km
118/420 = RM 0.28/km

118/RM2 = 59 litter
59/420 = 14.1 litter/100km

is that normal or too high.

my e36 325. 17'rim
Town drive
12.1 l/100km using Caltex fuel.
12.6 l/100km using Shell fuel. (abt 10% highway drive).
Caltex fuel r more economical for my car..

mine E46 1.9l full tank town driving give me about 500KM, long journey drive about 700KM, i guess for a year 2000 car that is consider good FC
