Last year, i almost bought myself a Mitsubishi Lancer 2 days before Inspira was launch. My feeling that time was a bit mix up and it increase when i read the spec & reveal comment from the manufacturer. What if, the same manufacturer launch a car which same as BMW come with lower price, better spec, almost identical interior & external and it is local made ? Although we would not change our passion on our ride but seeing your twins on the road...such feelings for me is like "One Kind" and we know the chasis, design and capability was not the same, how would you feel ? The worst parts for me as a driver is, your twins high beam on you during your ride in highway and brat to race....my answer is, die:59: die:59: must win :driver:and open the window and say :ciao:,,..Think about it and i hope these day wouldn't come. Anthony5785...

I don't think BMW Germany will ever allow and/or want to get into such a situation.

Drive older BMWs so most likely they wont be copied...hehe

seeing myvi with e60 or waja e36 design makes me feel berbulu. but it wont happen 99% true copy like lancer and inspira la

The discussion title is What if.....who know Lancer = Inspira last time right ? Myvi = Daihatsu or something which i saw in SG...

I shall soak my ride in concentrated sulfuric acid end to end until all is liquefied!!!

Place all that liquid in a transparent flask and place it on my mantel.

Then, drive my brand new rag top Aston Martin!!!

That's a good one. I would do the same.

Good one BC!

Aston Martin... Wah.

Anyways, like already mentioned, already got cars mimicking the look of the current BMWs, in some ways or another. Waja with the E60 rear lamp cluster, Myvi with the BMW kidney [seriously :stupid:] and some other cars out there...

What can I say? I just sigh cos the money spent on the conversion could've bought them a decent used BMW... Not necessarily aim for the newer models if want to own a BMW right? Can start off with the older ones, and build our joy and satisfaction with the roundel from there. After all, you still see many older BMWs on the road right? E30s, 32s, 34s, 36s, 46s etc].

Anyways, if said car want to beam and main cucuk, so let them syiok sendiri la.

Bro,

You sure or not you can tahan... Unless you can control your inner peace when the car honk, flash, cuck and raise hand... Hmmmm....interesting

I'm not surprise if happen to VW. Not possible for BMW because it's not a mass market car.. Heavy steering, high maintenance, uncomfortable suspension, narrow front footwell, only hardcore fella buys such car. Mass low cost production? I can bet my last Ringgit the project will fail.

if that's happen, maybe its time for me to send my ride to timbang kati place haha :D it's pointless to drive one when you have another twin with good bargain on the road

Seeing your twins on the road with different badge is like looking yourself at a broken mirror...in actual fact, I have seen a Kia Optima fitted with ori m-sports wheels and the blue roundels at the front and the back..sighhhhh

Bro, Let me help you to complete your unfinish words...

Heavy steering -It is because a BMW owner is Macho enough to handle the steering. Real Men's Toy

high maintenance - For Ultimate Driving Machine , is worth it...

uncomfortable suspension - We don't need it as the UDM is not use for Wet Market Shopping...for men use..the was no comfort for a cow boy during riding his horse....

narrow front footwell - Perfect is too arrogant, give other brand a chance as we have a big heart. Humble Humble...

only hardcore fella buys such car - Hard core ? is it require to mention ? we are what we are.

never say never ...
Have a look at the pix...

bmw_logo.jpg
vs
byd_logo-1.jpg

looks similar?
This is the company logo of BYD (Build Your Dream) Auto (http://www.byd.com.cn/views/home/indexe.htm). BYD seems to be a play on the word BMW, and the logo looks like the BMW logo except the middle circle is only divided into 2 sections instead of 4 sections. (source: paultan)

have a search at paul tan's webpage: http://paultan.org/ and you'll understand what I meant...
BYD Auto F3: front = toyota corolla, rear = honda city http://paultan.org/2005/10/09/byd-auto-f3/
They even wanted to put a hand at the Merc Maybach http://paultan.org/2010/03/29/byd-considering-taking-maybach-off-daimlers-hands/

Anyone fancy a BYD F90 = BMW E90?
