My 2cents, start with wear & tear area 1st. If all is ok, then proceed to looks.

Yeap, that's what I'm planning too. Will bring it to workshop tomorrow........ hopefully wallet will not bocor.....

Welcome Aboard.....

The first couple of services will always be the scariest... but well worth the heart ache once you drive it.

Congrats bro..keep the EG9 as your spare car....

ini ayat gantung ni......shud read like this :

Congrats bro..keep the EG9 as your spare car because you are definitely going to need it when the bimmer breaks down with one thing that needs fixing followed by the others such as the cooling system parts and suspension parts and broken pixels on the mid plus jerky gearbox etc etc...you know what i'm talking about......:listen:

oh the joy of owning a bavarian beast......:top:

HAHA........ yes, I did thought about having another car for spare since bimmer are famous for staying in workshop, but keeping EG9 for spare maybe it's abit too expensive for me..... I prefer to keep a kancil as a spare car, or even better share a spare car with another bimmer owner.......... much cheaper right?....... Anyone wants to share? haha. don't think so

I totally agree with this.. Welcome Lithium, I had just completed the looks dept. Of course the 1st few things would be the major wear and tear items. I'm waiting for the next service (hopefully able to tahan) before going in for the 2nd phase of replacing more parts.

Good to hear that you have started on the looks department.............. that's my favourite department but it has to be the last one. By the way, which paint shop did you go to?

My trusty paintman... 800m from my house... convenient and easy to monitor. I can't promise that he will do a good job, but I am ok with him. 6 of my previous cars went to him too. I see you are in Dsara, if you don't mind coming in to Kayu Ara, its that area.

Hey cyne, I saw your ride at another thread............... my car looks exactly like yours........ HAHA................ So maybe I just repeat everything you have done.

Been trying to load pictures of my E39 maint at workshop to photoshop but failed last 2 days, give up already.

My mech's diagnosis device (looks like iPhone) says the engine timing is out. But the car drives ok to me, powerful and responsive. Should I let Him tune the car?

engine timing out like how?ask ye mech to elaborate.if the ignition timing is out, then you will be facing a whole host of issues and the CEL will come on.car will idle and run crappy and sluggish.

if it's not broken, don't fix it
