I am interested in 525 , auto. Not so sure on the 12v or 24v.

In fact the the 24V engines (m50) are the grandfather of all the new BMW engines.

What year will that be for the m50 and what will be the market price?

Yeah, crusing below 4000 rpm is very economical becuase the torque sweet spot is inside the range so the weight of the car does not really matter.

I am one of the least "brake happy" drivers around. I brake very late and very hard, so that helps in the FC. I did 320kms in an elapsed duration of 9 hours and it consumes 30 litres.

If I were in Msia, I could do Singapore to KL and back twice and it would not take 9 hours!.

mine 85 full tank. from KL to Penang i use approx. around RM50. Constantly driving at 140km/h. Is that good or bad guys? pls let me know...and i was running the car with a 'bocor' exhaust. Now sounds like volks.

albundy, but 12V is cheaper. is it worth it / cost effective to buy a 12V & later convert to 24V?

With mine old engine M20B20...from Bentong-Kuantan-City tour-Bentong = RM 65.00 petrol, average speed 140km/h...hehe... :nyehehe: :nyehehe: much better than someone..and good news is the old engine is now lying on floor...anybody interested?? no need to overhaul maa...plug & play..

* Exactly RM65.00 coz put full tank at Bentong...never top up untill balik Bentong, pump up at the same petrol station.

*Bentong to Kuantan is about 170 km.

So far, my best record. Consistent speed @ 120km. Average consumption is around 8litre/100km. Good?

Mix city / highway ride is around 10.2litre/100km.
