went to view the car yesterday, quite impressed with 328i but mind and wallet told me better stick to 320d or later 320i. thing is, Passat CC quite high spec compared to 320d even 328i. smart move to switch camp? talking about spec, i think Passat CC higher but status of coz much lower. wish to hear from you guys.

Just my humble opinion:
Passat CC: rear passanger getting in/out the car always kena the C-pillar due to low rear roof line.
: Front wheel drive car and nose heavy.
: Good spec (for Sport Version).

U didn't suffer from stiff back due to uncomfortable Passat CC seat meh? Apart from keep getting your head knocked.. :4:

You want status, get the 3 star.. The roundel is a car that u need to seriously drive it to make the investment and maintenance worth while.

so far the car is okay for me. the said kena C pillar, i personally find that its totally ok after u own the car for a while. its not that low roofline after all.

i just thinking, whether should i forgo all the specs i having now and top up to go for F30.

just alone the adaptive chassis in Passat CC is very good. but once again, BMW always a dream for man, isnt it?

Some converts end up as convert permanently because they never felt such sweet handling car or they never thought such sweet handling car is even possible or available in a compact or family sedan. Something that grow on you. Some converted for the wrong reason but end up glad they did. While some regretted big time and swear not to return to roundel again just because they got all their "expectations" wrong.

There's no other 4 door sedan that handle like a roundel. Not before, not now and chances are, not even in the future.

neutral quote here from roundel owner who has friend that drive passat cc.

1. the no frame window if you look carefully you can squeeze thing into the cabin ( BAD , just rubber )
2. the car i tested was a sport edition ( hard )
3. back seat is ok but cannot compare with BMW E90.

The Passat CC is a lovely car to drive around. I like how it handles, how the engine revs up. The interior is sweet if you get it in truffle, reminds me of the older Lancia etc. When it first came out, the car was just so good looking. However, today it looks aged. That that is the thing about the Passat CC's looks, it does age fast. Still you cannot deny that the car has a lot of bells and whistles too. Best to see what you want out of a car. If its spirited driving then make sure the test drive allows you to do it. Go for a good test drive, both cars at the same day. Then you will know better.

The 320d will give you gobs of torque and savings in fuel cost over the Passat CC. Not bad that 1 tank can take you a lot further than the Passat CC. Its apples and oranges ... just what do you prefer?

My unsolicited and humble opinion...if cost not an issue go for it. Experience what the world is raving about "the best sport sedan in the world",so far not one western car journalists have rated the f30 less than its competitors (a4, c class etc), well we haven't heard jeremy clarkson yet I guess heh. If you don't like it, I'm sure any club members here won't mind helping you get rid of it ;)

Passat CC to a 320d ? meh... 328i then you can consider.

thanks for all advice.

Passat CC is a nice car no matter how, esp given the spec it delivered.

i was thinking 328i, but then costs wise a bit over for me at 30Xk. 320d, the interior.... so dissapointed. i dont need the power to be honest since most of the time my wife will be driving.

I dont think it's a hard decision to make. If I have the $$$ I definately know what I will buy!!

passat cc n bmw F30 totally deference class .passat is 4 doors coupe n F30 is sedan i think unfair if u make compare both car and both have thier own specialities.
is the best to own both if u budget allow . during you driving passat but your mind wont be stop u
to thiking BMW so just go for bmw u wont regret it once u own bmw.

This may help.. :4:

BMW would certainly be a good choice. It will BMW (Bring More Woman) to you as well :)

You buy a Passat when you don't have the guts to buy a BMW. Its a brave ex-Camry owner who after weeks/months of consultation with a thousand people, decides to move upmarket and get something German......a VW. Congrats!

"i wish i had ... i wish i had.... i should have .... " when you see an bmw next to you at the traffic light. its the people car vs luxury sport sedan.
