my suggestion would be for you to take a test drive on both and let your instinct(and your pocket) decide.

F10 is always the better purchase, esp 5 yrs down the road when you want to upgrade later.

Ultimately it boils down to what look that you prefer in the end. No doubt the new F10 has much improvement compared to the E60.. Integral steering, ambience lighting, 8-speed gearbox (smoother), etc... But ill stick to my current E60 anytime. There is no other beast which is as mean as my ride

When new model comes out, we can always expect price drop for the previous model although not much. If your pocket is deep enoug, i suggest that you wait for the 528 M-Sport which should be launched later this year or early next year :top: u should be able to find the thread on the sport version of F10 in the thread

Apparently my pocket not deep enough and many hole too. Thus, looking for a good car and i'm considering F10 523 or 525i 2010 model. Just want to make sure I make a good decision.

If can afford F10, I think it is a better choice because it is newer model.....
Personal opinion, I think exterior design wise, my Msport E60 is better than existing F10 (seen few so called F10 M Sport in the web, very nice looking, SLURRPPP!). The rest F10 is more superior....
The HP is higher on E60 525 but not sure about performance....
I still deeply in luv with my E60 MSport althou a bit old...hehhehe!

I think if u do abit of market research, there's not really much difference between the price of new SKD F10 523i and 2010 E60 525i Sports(used). Both command around RM360k++ and the difference of just RM20k between the an all new F10 and E60.

Performance wise also the bhp difference is around 204bhp for F10 and 218bhp for E60 525i. Hardly can tell the difference if u ask me since I have driven both.

My advise if you're more concern of the engine performance and not so concerned about getting the latest model, you should go for the 530i or 530d instead. Cheaper too...
